Wulfstan (509), California, USA Nov 19, 2007 Updated: May 9, 2008This is a great, tasty and satisfying ale. It is deep amber with a thick, big, dense, light tan head that lasts and leaves some lacing. The aroma is fairly strong malt, dust, dry leaves, somewhat musty, with piney hops. The taste is moderately rich, earthy malt, a hint of sourness, excellent sweet-bitter balance with a nice long mixed grain/malt and slightly bitter hop finish.
