It is deep amber with a thick, big, dense, light tan head that lasts and leaves some lacing. The aroma is fairly strong malt, dust, dry leaves, somewhat musty, with piney hops. The taste is moderately rich, earthy malt, a hint of sourness, excellent sweet-bitter balance with a nice long mixed grain/malt and slightly bitter hop finish. Jonte (815), Gothenburg, Sweden

Pours a firey copper colour with a nice delicious looking tan head. The aroma is malt, toffee and a bit of molasses. Taste is fairly malty with some brown sugar/toffee malt flavours. Would have liked more hops for sure, but not a bad beer. ChristianScheffel (4481), Odense, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 23, 2007 An excellent beer. The epitomy of a session, English-style pale ale/ESB. Pours with a big head, coppery. Very easy on the palate. More malt than I usually like, but this beer went down quick and smooth and I wanted another. Not filling. Great. Wish I had another. Thanks to Dad for bringing this to Panama. Enjoyit (1706), Vadum, Denmark
