Mar 10, 2007 Pours clear copper/red with a medium head that collapses. Caramel aroma. Big caramel flavor but lacks the body to support it. Finishes a bit watery with a dirty flavor. Bitterness subsides immediately.

Mar 9, 2007 Bottle. Dark copper color. Sweet, malty aroma, with similar flavor. Was not as impressed by this beer as I have been of other beers from this brewery. Decent drinking with a meal.

Mar 2, 2007 One of the best bitters I’ve tried. Everything was perfectly balanced. Red-amber pour with off-white head. Great malt and hop flavor, not too sweet. Nice zing of flavor in the finish. Pairs well with chicken.

Mar 1, 2007 Bottle 55cl. Poured a dark red, oaky amber with a good off-white head. The aroma was surprisingly faint, with sweet hints of roasted malt and toffees. The flavour was robust; rich malty bitter, with woody sour notes, all becoming more acute in the finish, which is accompanied by a slight whiskiness. Rich, full palate, if a little oily. A strong robust IPA, clearly in an old style.

Feb 25, 2007 Malty aroma accompanied by a hint of citrus hop. Nice coppery color with a beige head that lasted, but not for long. Starts with light hop, followed by definite malt, but not sicky sweet malt. Decent mouthfeel. Clean, rather dry finish, and the bitter is still there. Ok, they say it’s balanced; I’ll agree.

Feb 25, 2007 Bottle. Poured a thin tea looking color. Aroma of malt and barley. Taste is full bodie with malt and a very small hint of hops in the finish.
