Aroma is hoppy, and a bit earthy. Pours a large off-white head which is mostly lasting. Colour is a nice medium orangey red. Light caramel notes in the flavour as well as light to medium bitterness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A good, balanced pale ale. dvanbler (7), Massachusetts, USA does not count | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 3, 2005 The skunky aroma and flavor was overpowering. I think this would have been a good beer if it was packaged properly. yngwie (4950), Kristiansand, Norway

Aroma starts maybe a little harsh but smooths out top balanced hopy malts, though the malt is saying a little more. Taste is also particularly malty and quite full also. Nice wee beer that u could session. Dickinsonbeer (3449), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 25, 2005 Pours clear amber with an ok head. Aroma is almost all malt, some toasted malts, and crystal with hints of herbal hops. Flavor is pretty smooth overall, with no off flavors- just a straightforward pale ale. Sweet caramel malts, with a light nuttiness and a light bitter finish. Amazing this beer is as good as it is despite coming all the way from England in clear bottles.
