Captures the soul of beer. It has a maltiness that reminds you that beer is a product of the soil. Balance of malt and hops.

(Bottle). Very malty and earthy aroma. Copper amber color with off-white head. Caramel malt flavor, with a hint of bitterness. Excellent balance. Enjoyable brew.

This is an IPA before it brewers started aggressively hopping everything. Poured a clear copper/brown with just a little lacing white head. Malty aroma with a moist, earthy smell. Taste is malty, sweet. Finish is smooth, slightly sour. Best drank as "cellar" temperature.

500ml bottle in a gift pack (box). First time I could rate it because it was not skunked. Dark gold, slight hoppy nose. Hops do not prevail as in an American pale ale. Smooth taste with a hop finish. I like APA’s better.

Beautiful Amber color and a nice, creamy off-white head. The taste is nicely balanced. Malt, bitter hops, and a little citrus make up an enjoyable drink. Pretty light and easy to drink.

Bottle - Poured a darkish amber in color with a fine white head that disappeared slowly. Aroma was of some yeasiness and some noble hops. Flavor was slight of early malt and then strong of nice round hoppy goodness. Finish is hoppy and a mild lingering bitterness. Excellent beer...

This better capture the soul of beer, or else! Pours a fairly clear copper with a nice big head. Aroma is a little metallic with lots of very earthy tones, I sort of get a musty character from this aroma, and I’m not sure if I like it or not. I suppose I like it more than I don’t like it. This is very well balanced even if I didn’t need to be reminded that beer is a product of the soil. I really enjoy the pear flavors in this beer, it’s plenty bitter as well with nice earthy hops. I don’t remember liking this as much as I do this time around in the past. A lovely surprise, even if I doubt its full capture of the soul of beer….

Had an orangish colour, aroma was a bit sweet. Taste seemed alightly hoppy with a bit of citrus in it. Tad dry aftertaste.

Very, very light flavor. Kind of stale, buttery maltiness, and the only hops detected are slightly bitter and uninteresting. Perhaps good for a long session, but nothing outstanding.
