| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2006 Pours amber/red with small off-white head. Nose is rather fruity and malty with some slightly bitter floral hops bite. The flavor begins rather malty, nutty, with mild bitterness. It segues into a suprising apple flavor and ends with grapefruit flavored hops. Slightly chalky mouthfeel. Enjoyed this beer. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 30, 2004 Clear reddish/copper color with a thin white head a low carbonation. Aroma of green apples, caramel and diacetyl and a little of an old stale pub aroma that I find endearing but I am not sure what it is. Straight ahead flavor of malt and caramel and a fair amount of butterscotch with a little bitterness in the end. A bit tart with some chalkiness also. Well balanced, clean and easy to drink. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 22, 2005 Pours dark amber large head. Not much in the aroma, light hops and yeast. Maybe a touch of caramel. Flavor can best be described as malt based. Just a little caramel and a little bitter at the back. It is very well balanced and a very drinkable ale. mybrainhurts (215), North Dakota, USA

Caramel, toffee, and chewy bread flavors. Finishes round and somewhat creamy. Nice mouthfeel. A good brew. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
