Flavor is very sweet with caramel and toffee present. Hop character is light and nearly goes under the radar. Some floral and cirtus hops near the finish. Palate is smooth and creamy for the style- finishes clean and crisp with a bit of bitterness. patricks110 (102), Alberta, Canada Jul 20, 2008 Overall, a pretty good pale ale. Aroma of hops and nutty caramel. Taste is a bit hoppy, but not bad. Overall, another great beer from Samuel SMiths. sja14 (48), Ohio, USA Jul 17, 2008 I really enjoyed this beer. Pours light brown with a tan head. Good balance between the malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness. This would be a good session beer. SuperDave70 (652), Arizona, USA Jul 17, 2008 Updated: Jul 21, 2008Nice amber color pour with a thin tan head. Sweet nutty caramel malt aroma, along with a hint of fruit. Flavor is also sweet and malty, with a nice hoppy bittering finish. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty refreshing.
