marchcow (485), Coralville, Iowa, USA Aug 28, 2008 Bitter, tomato aroma, roasted malt, caramel. Colors are ice tea, caramel, light brown with an off white head. Flavor is sweet and light with caramel accent. Bitterness comes out in the finish. Slight woodiness, some vegetables. Duration extends nicely. Very light and watery palate. drjay44 (115), USA Aug 26, 2008 550 ml. bottle. Pours a nice head which deflates, lovely golden color, yeasty, slightly spicy nose, very light in the mouth, delicate and light flavors, not much complexity. This is the lightest of the Smith brews I have tasted. Capa (737), Yokosuka, Japan Aug 18, 2008 Orange in color. Malty, fruity hops, some light apple, as well. Fresh fruit in the flavor, with some malts, apple and distinct grainy flavor. Medium, smooth bodied. Good ale, not great. unclemike (339), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Aug 13, 2008 I want to say I love all this companys beers I have tried. This beer poured out a golden amber with a large white head.It had a medium to lighter body with notes of malt and slight hops. These were also in the taste and I have to say that this beer was pretty good. Slipstream (350), USA Aug 12, 2008 So this is the tadcaster, whatever that might be. It has a beautiful old label! Brass-amber pour with a classy crown. Rich aroma - hops, malt, some cheese too. Tastes interesting - fairly light and moderately hopped, but still full of flavor. The taste is not sharp and attention-grabbing - it is more like a friendly, tingly bitterness that is subtle, but not weak. This is another unique Samuel Smith product that has me fumbling for the correct words of praise.
