COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Wonderful brew which reminds you of a sweetish lambic rather than a cheap fruit beer. Full apricot with balanced carbo, some sweets and slight bitterness in the end. Classy one.

Pours out of the bottle in hazy orange colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of apricot jam and leaves. Taste of fresh apricots, apricot jam, sugar, leaves, mild hops. Easy and nice to drink, enjoyed it.

from Bier-Bienne - hazy dark orange beer with a little foam left; sugary ice cream aroma of apricots; hugely sweet, sticky and medium-bodied, lot of residual sweetness and long artificial notes of apricot - no, thanks

Shared with Zach and Brandon, pours a hazy apricot color with a nice white head. Nose is sweet, fruity and grainy. Taste is very sweet, sugary and fruity. Finishes on the same tasting notes. Ok if you like sweet fruit ales. Quaff score 6 / 10

Bottled @ de Molen tasting, small sample. Clear yellow color, short to no head. Aroma of pure apricot juice, yoghurt, bit flowery. Taste is quite sweet from apricot, light sourness. Almost like a cider. A small glass is actually quite nice and it could even improve with double the alcohol, more viscous and serving as a dessert. I doubt I would be able to finish a whole bottle, so for drinkability it gets -0.3 in overall.

Bottle @ 2nd Tuesday tasting. Aroma is huge apricot, like those cheap little puddings, not much else. Flavour is sweet and tangy, cider like, light wort note. Okay. More a cider or lemonade.

Bottle @ 2nd Tuesday tasting at De Molen, hosted by dEnk. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Aroma of fruit kwark, very very fruity and creamy. Flavor is very sweet, thin and fruity. Almost no resemblance to beer, more like cider. Well balanced and well made, but I really don’t like the style.
