Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Robe orangée Abricot marqué. Légèrement aigre mais aussi sucrée sans excès. Bien équilibrée. Enfin une bonne bière aux fruits!

Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. A somewhat skimpy ale heavily weighted with apricot. Mostly delicious and refreshing but would have loved to had something more unctuous. Great if you’re in the mood for a summer-shandy-type-situation.

Pour is a clear-ish yellow with a small white head. Aroma is a floral apricot. Flavor is also a nice apricot without the sweetness of the strawberry beer. This one I would get again. Nice mild apricot flavor with a more dry finish.

Cask at The Captain Kidd, Wapping, London, Saturday 23rd May 2015 Warm gold in colour with a slim white head. Lots of apricot on the nose and really apricot in the mouth although a rather different beast to Fou Foune, very pleasant but quite sweet, juicy apricots aplenty. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5
