"now that’s the stuff. sam smith’s organics are all a fragrant, fresh, and flavorful shot in the arm for lighter beers. usually when i crave a lighter beer, it’ll be one of these, just don’t expect more than a nice session ale

330ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Pours a beautiful and clear amber/copper color forming a medium, solid and thin bubbled beige head. Medium to low retention and lots of spotty soapy lacings left in the glass S: Strong toffee and caramel malts in the upfront. Notes of brown sugar and brown bread. Great flowery hops. English character T: Strong caramel malts and sweet grains upfront. Notes of toffee, brown sugar, citrus hops. A bit fruity too, with some notes of grapes and plums. Mild hops bitterness: herby and a bit citrus (Again, strong British hops character). In overall, a dry but smooth beer in the mouth M: Light body. Medium carbonation. A bit sticky and molasses with a malty and mold bitter aftertaste O: Good drinkability. Very refreshing beer. Strong British personality. World class British Pale Ale [ BA Review @ 4/19/2010 ]

Transfer from BA review on 12-11-12 Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a lightly hazed light orange amber color with a two finger white head. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to give a nice level of lacing. Smell- Wow. I was not expecting the huge fruit aroma that was in this one. An apple aroma mixed with some peach and pear are big and bold. Mixed with these are hints of caramel as well as a light bready smell. Taste – The taste begins with a bready and fruity sweet flavor. The fruit flavor is initially of a peach and apricot flavor, but transitions to a more apple flavor as the taste advances further. Upfront there is also a caramel sweetness that soon gets overwhelmed by the apple. Toward the end the flavor has a malty and cider like taste. A light bitter citrus and herbal flavor come to the taste at the very end with it slightly leveling out some of the sweetness. Mouthfeel - The body of the beer is on the slightly thicker and creamier side with a carbonation level that is on the average side. While the carbonation level is average, it consists of tiny little bubbles that seem to tingle the tongue. This when combined with the slightly creamier body, is wonderful for the fruit flavors of the brew. Overall – This beer has a fabulous nose and feel. The taste is not quite up to the former two but is still rather good. One to try if you have the chance.

I guess it's an okay beer and if you want to support organic that's a plus but there's not a whole lot going on here. Had a nice off White head that lasts a while and some lace, color is clear amber. Aroma is Malt & fruit. Flavor is like aroma not very complex straightforward some carbonic tang, a little bitterness that's about it. Body is decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home from backlog notes. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have bready malts, grass, light caramel, almost buttery so maybe toffee, light earthy hops, grainy, fairly basic, read boring beer.

Bon color i bon escuma, pel que fa a l’aroma és bastant fluixet i en gust és un pel aigualida. Buen color y buena espuma, el aroma es flojo y en gusto un pelo aguada.

The appearance has a hazy golden/blonde colored body with a one and a half fingered white foamy head that dies within about a minute leaving some nice clingy creamy looking lacing. Light carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace. The smell is mainly sweet through the malt and the grain coming through in a clean yet somewhat soapy way like most English Bitters do, also I got some light corn as well. The taste is sweet through the English malts and gives off a creamy English malty aftertaste that just clings around the mouth. She has a dry bitter (but in that English sort of way) finish. On the palate, she sits a light to medium on the body, comes across somewhat sessionable, and has a carbonation that is actually somewhat smooth and ends up showing a nice creamy sort of aspect that I usually get when I have an English bitter. Overall, wow with the extremely low ABV, one would think this would be extremely sessionable however, because the way it sits on my mouth, its not as sessionable as one would think as there seems to be just enough to give it a heavier sort of feel. I would most likely want this again with some fish and chips.

pours unclear light orange with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. lightly doughy and breadied toasted nutty caramel malts, mild fruity notes - juniper berries, bitter herbs, chalky, hint of metal, mild earthy ntoes. smooth mouthfeel, clean yeast. moderate carbonation, light body, dry herbal-grassy and slightly astringent finish. like a slightly watered down version of their pale ale. no flaws but a tad boring. ok.
