Pours a clear an amber reddish colour with a light creamy pinkish head. Aroma of sweet cherries and fruit juice. Flavour of cherry fruit juice, and a little malt flavor. I enjoyed the cherry flavor but there’s not much else going on here. A little tartness would’ve helped.

Bottle. Amber colour with a pink mixed in... but great head. Cherry aroma and flavour. Very sour, not sweet at all. Strong bitterness in the finish.

Slightly sweet aromas of cherry, close to real cherry aroma. Taste is a little off, almost a bit fake in taste, like a cherry flavored syrup. Thought it would have more of a natural taste like cherries, organic and all. Not bad, but not worth buying a second bottle..

A really nice fruit beer, it’s not overly fruity or sweet. Pours a reddish/brown, and could easily be mistaken for a brown ale. It has a nice sour cherry smell with some nice acidity and raspberry notes. The flavor is great, savory sweet cherries without being cloying. A very creamy mouthfeel and a nice subtle aftertaste. Would be a great dessert beer.

Sampled on 12/2/2009. This fruit beer pours a deep cherry color from a 550ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with nice retention and nice lacing. The aroma is cherries, malt and sweet. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet. The cherry flavors and fairly sweet and fairly prevalent. There is some malt in the background, but its mainly cherry. Nice carbonation. Good balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Tastes great, but almost too fruity. I guess i shouldn’t complain, that is why I bought it, but the backing ale was a bit average for such a storied brewer.
