Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Chocolate stands out in this stout. Slight taste of nuts and coffee. Very smooth in the palate and just a subtle bitterness.

Pours very dark brown approaching black with a decent sized khaki head that settles slowly and leaves some splotchy lace. Nose involves scads of cocoa up front, some vanilla, some underlying dark fruits, and more dark chocolate. Fairly sweet, fairly bitter, nothing excessive. Light-medium body, frothy, a touch oily, toasty, with a drying dark chocolate finish. Tasty brew, would be good on breakfast cereal or with traditional English breakfast, or after 4 or 5 other beers, scotch eggs, and a fucking burger (nap time). A true session cocoa-infused stout. They should put this in a 6-pack of cans so I can take it to the park and feed the seagulls.

Bottled from Systembolaget Black with a beige head. Loads of milky chocolate in the aroma. Rather sweet flavour with even more milky chocolate. Still rather fresh palate though. Low bitterness.

It pours dark brown, almost opaque; the head is beige and foamy. The aroma has notes of: milk-powder, milk chocolate, and a slight nuttiness. The taste is medium sweet, with a light bitterness; there are notes of: milk chocolate, coffee, and a slight hint of anise. The palate is medium bodied, slick, has medium-light carbonation, and a long sticky finish. Overall, pretty good, this is a nice flavoured beer.

Sweet chocolate aroma, some coconut cosmetics too. Slick-ish palate. Finish is milky hot chocolate. Body is sweet, tons of choc, tons of coconut. HEdonistically, I like this even though it’s a bit trashy. It gets more and more coconutty as it warms. Damn it, I feel guilty liking this. Finish does have some real bitter hops. Gets more addictive the more you drink. It is basically electrodes on my pleasure-centres.

Sampled bottle at Porterfestivalen 2013. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate mousse supreme. Taste: milk chocolate and lactose, toffee, licorice. Medium-bodied. Very nice dessert aroma, but the flavour is thinner and disappoints a bit.

Pours the color of midnight with a faint ruby hue when held to the light. A fat head of mocha colored foam falls quickly but leaves some soapy lace until it finally recedes to a slight ring. Nose is decadent chocolate. Some vanilla smooths it out and there is a light coffee. There is not any alcohol on the nose. As the beer warms you get a sense of the different chocolate characters. Bittersweet, sweet, and a scent that is very much like homemade cocoa. There is something creamy in there like marshmallow. The taste is serene. Luscious, and smooth. The body is thin but it tastes rich. The malt is like chocolate cake and does not become bold with roast or bitter. It’s a subdued flavor. As it warms it develops a sweet caramel that offers a silken nutty flavor that is like ribbons of decadence under all that chocolate. Only at the very end in the finish do you notice any flavor from wood and just a faint little bitter. The mouthfeel has an indescribable softness. Well done

Strong chocolate and slight prune notes on the nose. Pours dark brown to black with a medium creamy colored head. Strong dark chocolate flavor throughout. Quick finish that doesn’t linger. Thick mouthfeel, slightly chewy. Good, but a bit chocolatey for my liking...

550ml bottle. Pours a dark, dark chestnut brown with a head the colour of espresso foam. Aroma is HUGE on cocoa (Tootsie Rolls), with vanilla, Kahlua, caramel, and molasses candies. Smells AWESOME! The taste is sweet caramel/burnt sugar up front, with vanilla, cocoa, light hazelnut, and toffee-like notes that lead into the finish. A little sweet, but seriously delicious.
