COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Bottle poured into pint glass. Pours a dark clear brown with a big silky off white head. Aroma of milk chocolate. Tastes of sweet dense bread covered with a thick chocolate spread. A bit sweet but not terribly cloying.

I love stouts, but not ones heavy on the chocolate flavor. This is a very chocolatey beer, I don’t know what Samuel Smith’s did, but this was a delicious beer. Pours black, with a thick chocolate brwon head.

12 oz bottle from Hy-Vee Muscatine. Black appearance with a light brown head. Rich milk chocolate and cocoa aroma. Similar flavor, plenty of chocolate, but not overly sweet. Medium body, creamy and smooth. A bit one dimensional, but easy to drink, good for dessert.

I didn’t think Youngs Double Chocolate would have a rival, but this is it. Smooth as silk, perfect balance of roasted stout character and milk chocolate, neither overwhelms the other, and both are enjoyable until the end, which comes too soon.

Pure chocolate syrup. Smells really thick and syrupy, but it has a surprising light body. Chocolate sauce and vanilla taste, lightly roasted malts, kinda bright. Dessert and alcohol.

Pure bottled chocolate. Deep aroma and taste, but with an amazing balance in mouth. It takes the virtues of the beer and the chocolate. Extraordinary brew.
