Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Wow the English know how to bring it. The chocolate notes come full forward, with an evenly malty backing. Delicious desert beer.

Dark, ruby almost black pour, with a small beige head. Very sweet aroma, cocoa extract is evident, smells fake. Hard to find anything but sweet chocolate aroma. Even the roasty notes smell sweet. Mouth feel is thick and velvety. Finish is just more cloying sweetness, its like drinking chocolate milk. Not a fan.

Darkest ruby red, and looks black. Cream coloured frothy head. Massive hit of chocolate on the nose and on the tongue. Slightly sweet. Gorgeous. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle @El Cabanón, Avilés. 27-04-2014.
In short: very nice sweet stout.
Pours very dark with nice tan head. moderate head retention, poor lacing. Chocolate, roasty, creamy aromas. Medium body, soft carbonation, viscous texture. Taste follows the nose, very smooth, creamy and pleasant. Really enjoyable.

March 29th, 2013 - Head was an off white cream, but quickly dissipated. Coffee in the aroma, sure, but lots of raspberry too, so more of a raspberry mocha smell. Also, hazelnut and Nutella. Curious! Cherry cordials. Lots of sweet, and more acidic and punchy than a regular chocolate stout that drips with Nestlé syrup. Smells like an Easter basket. Very Bavarian, and what chocolate notes there are are definitely milk chocolate in nature, and maybe even white chocolate. Palate is on the flatter side, but not bad. Heavy beer, and sweet. Basically tastes as it smells. The aftertaste and jam-in-chocolate flavor is especially prevalent. Beginning taste is quite and then ramps up. Definitely a unique taste, though I think as a personal choice I still prefer the traditional 72 percent cocoa deep dark flavors.

Amazing aroma of chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. I guess there were some more aromas of toffee and coffee. Flavors are more of the same but a little weaker than the aroma. Looks awesome but the body is a little thin. Overall a great stout, very enjoyable.

Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Big chocolate smell with some light roast in the background. Big chocolate flavor with some light vanilla, starts out sweet but the roast and the hops cut through the sweetness on the finish. Medium body medium carbonation.

2014 frombottle. Dark pour, yellow creamy head with average lacing. Taste of extreme chocolate...to much for my taste.

550ml bottle - Leave it to the Brits, who created the stout ale, to make a chocolate stout that is so freakin’ yummy, so decadent that it makes most other chocolate stouts cry with envy. There is chocolate in every level of this beer, and if you told me the glass bottle is made of chocolate and the bottle cap was chocolate, it wouldn’t shock me. My only issue with the beer is the head formation was pretty weak, not a lot of density to it. But the waves of chocolate and the rich, decadent vanilla are superb in every facet of the beer.

Really chocolatey aroma with milk / cream. Flavour is hot chocolate with milk and sugar. Wow. The chocolate is perfectly merged with the beer and this experience is wondrous. One of the best beers I’ve ever had.

Bottle:
Little dusty aroma, like getting the christmas decorations out after they’ve been up in the loft for a year with an interesting chocolate undertone. Wow, flavour is smooth, silky milk chocolate. A little thinner and less complex than the draught version but still amazing and this could be to do with storage. You’ve not tried chocolate stout if you haven’t tried this.
