COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2014 Brown, copper undertones, tall, persistent head. Intense, rich chocolate nose. Medium body, silky texture, rich, made smoother while mousse lasts, low alcohol burn, very assertive flavor, short palate. Bitter, sharp, not quite dry, eell balanced. Flavor is overwhelmigly and deliciously chocolaty, with good coffee to boot. Delicious, rich without being cloying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

LCBO score. Sugared bitter chocolate. I thought it would thicker. Drinkable but 500 ml is something to be shared.

(Bottle, 0.55 l - BBE Dec 14 , at William K Annankatu, 20140117) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had chocolate and burnt malts. Flavours were chocolate, sweetness, toasted malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness and bitterness. A very sweet and chocolate flavoured brew that was too excessive for me.

Bottle 0.5l at William K. Annankatu, Helsinki. BBE Dec14. Colour is dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Sweetness, massive chocolate and roasted malts. Quite one-dimensional but enjoyable.

Black/dark brown beer with beige head. Aroma is mainly cocoa, milk chocolate and bit of carmel. Medium carbonation and almost no bitterness. It’s like a milk chocolate in bottle. Excellent chocolate stout

550ml bottle pours a dark brown color with a 2 finger beige head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is light roasted grains and chocolate. Taste is a roasted grain and herbal hop bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. A fairly decent brew for the style.

Bottle. Deep brown color with a medium thin frothy beige head. Smooth aroma of milk chocolate, cocoa and vanilla. Silky feel. Sweet taste with some roastiness. Well balanced package.

Bottle (550 ml). From Sammy, thanks! Brown with a medium mostly lasting beige head and little lacing. Aroma is of intense milk chocolate, cocoa powder, marshmallow, caramel and vanilla. Taste is sweet (almost cloying) with a ton of milk chocolate and cocoa along with vanilla, marshmallow and carmel. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Chalky mouthfeel. Unidimensional and too much milk chocolate/cocoa powder forward. Not bad, but not really enjoyable.

Pours black with a small head which doesn’t last long. Aroma is lots and lots of milky chocolate, slight hints of coffee. Taste is all about the chocolate- it is smooth and silky, velvety mouthfeel, you want to bite down on it. Really nice.
