Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

550 mL bottle. Black on black with a thick, relentless head of beige. Nose is rich, creamy chocolate, a touch of roasted malt, mild grainy sweetness and a hint of dark fruit. Sweet and chocolate dominated but somehow still tastes like a beer. Creamy thick on the palate with moderate carbonation. Finish is clean. Not entirely sure why I like this (flavored beers give me the willies), but I do.

Wow. This is seriously the perfect dessert beer. Rich, chocolaty, roasted and sweet...it’s just fantastic. Like a melted chocolate bar of goodness.

0.55 bottle. Very dark brown color and a large, thick, brownish head though it leaves no lacing. Very strong and nice aroma of cocoa, some sugar, vanilla, and delicate coffee. Taste is also very sweet and also mostly composed of cocoa, vanilla, sugar, and doughnuts with glazing. Medium body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is long, very resemblant of small, cocoa treats usually served with coffee. Overall a great beer, worth checking out.

Bottle (50cl): Thanks GlasgowTAD: Served at 13 degrees Celsius in a Shaker: Medium sized creamy head on top of a deep dark brown colored beer. Aromas of chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate malts, some sweet cacoa... Flavours of chocolate, sweet chocolate, hops, light bitter, some malts and light toast. Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, chocolate, malts and some herbs. Low carbo, light creamy mouthfeel and a good medium body. Good chocolate stout!

I liked this even better than the Oatmeal Stout. Chocolate aroma, dark brown, almost black in color with some red tones. White head, but not as much as thee Oatmeal Stout. Chocolate flavor in the taste and long into the finish. Not sweet, well balanced.

Aroma: milk chocolate primarily, a hint of vanilla. Appearance: almost opaque reddish black, not much light getting through. Some tan head, but dissipates quickly. Taste: mostly sweetness, although there’s a gentle bitter finish that comes out after a few sips. Palate: medium-full body with just light carbonation, nice creamy texture. Overall, this is one of my favorite chocolate stouts. Always available, reasonably priced (although getting more expensive with time), it’s an easy go-to.

I have to admit, sweet stouts usually are not my first choice, but this beer is honestly very well done. Aroma of guess what? CHOCOLATE. Taste of... CHOCOLATE. I can’t really believe this is beer, almost. If you’re a fan of anything chocolate you need to try this beer.

Bottle from the gift box. A: Almost pure black with a inch thick creme color head. N: Big chocolate, char, coffee, vanilla, some minerality and iron, leafiness and earthiness. T: Bitter and sweet. M: Medium body, fizzy carbonation, no alcohol. O: Big chocolate stout. Some nice char elements, though the artesian effects do get to me in the nose. Like this as a sweet stout otherwise.
