Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Quite a bit of cocoa here. Lots of nice, chocolate aromas, medium bodied with a thick off white head. Not a fan of the stickness it leaves in my mouth after the taste.

Okay look this beer I had very high hopes for. I love the brewery, I love Chocolate Stouts but this was a major disappointment. It was so fake tasting it was hard to finish. Great bottle Sam Smith has awesome labels always. The smell was a hint of what is in store as far as taste just fake off brand chocolate syrup. It pours syrupy brown almost. As in looks not consistency. Didn't get much of a head The beer heated up very fast actually almost instantly started to adjust to room temp. Okay the taste...it taste exactly like this really cheap crappy chocolate syrup my mom bought for me when I was a kid and I used it in milk just to make her feel better about it but when she wasn't around I poured it down the drain. That's almost what I wanted to do with this beer near the end of the glass. No offense to anyone who likes this but it really is a Stout with chocolate flavor added. Not a Chocolate Stout. I wouldn't say it was even a Stout it had no bite no bitterness nothing like a Stout should have. I would say stay clear of this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice beer. Pours dark brown with a big frothy head. Aroma of chocolate and that's about it. Flavor is sweet malt with a good bit of chocolate. Some roasted malts. Very sweet beer. Almost cloyingly so. Medium to full bodied. Good beer but a bit too sweet for me.

Damn, smells like pure chocolate. The taste is extremely chocolatey (little too much) but has a little bit of a watery taste.

Great chocolaty taste met with a mild yeast. Thick and bold it splashes throughout the palate crashing on the sweet and bitters. This beer would be great after a sleigh ride.

Fudge nose with a profound amount of vanilla, more of a fudge swirl stout than chocolate. Clear mahogany, thick tan head. Intense initial punch of sweet chocolate, swiftly giving way to much more subtle dark chocolate and bark notes. Somewhat lacking in body, but nice carbonation level. Can sugar presence is offputting, but a solid beer.

Very good chocolate stout. Dark blackish color with a beige head. Smells of chocolate and vanilla. Medium body slightly bitter then to a sweet cocoa vanilla taste. Seems like the abv is higher then it is. Best chocolate stout I’ve had to date. Wish there was more alcohol though.

Bottle at home. Pours clear black with a medium, frothy beige head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is chocolate and lactose, dates, figs, and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with chocolate, light hops and bitterness and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Definitely a desert beer. Really chocolatey. Recommended with desert only. I would buy again to have in the stash.
