Aroma of milk chocolate, vanilla bean, dark with a frothy head and decent lacing. Lightmouthfeel, smooth, creamy, finishes with a hint of chocolate then disappears. To much extract for me.

Pours a tad lighter than the typical stout with a thick, fizzy head. Aroma and taste of milk chocolate with a bit of dark fruit.

Bottle. Medium thick tan head. Dark brown to black body. Nose is milk chocolate, sugar, black malt/roast notes, fruit (particularly raisin and plum), and coffee as the beer hits room temperature. Kind of bitter and kind of sweet. Dry finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Really rich and tasty and satisfying. You can drink this straight from the fridge as you don’t gain anything from it warming up.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared somewhere in the last year. Pours rich brown with a tight, beige foam head; I’ll say this for Sam Smith and his beers: they look good. Sugary milk chocolate in the aroma. Medium to big sweet flavor with cheap chocolate bar character, light roast, very mellow earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, more chocolate. The chocolate just seems a bit artificial and cheap. Meh.

Shared a cool-looking tall brown bottle into sampler glasses. It poured a near opaque mahogany colour with thin tan but persistent foam and some lace. Overall impression here is chocolate, as in real cocoa, not just chocolate malt. Maybe too much so to be considered balanced. Underneath is a somewhat watery but tasty stout: bready, toasty, smooth and well-rounded, with that subtle Samuel Smith’s cidery tartness that I enjoy. Medium body, low carbonation, lasting chocolately aftertaste. Tasty but not as awesome and harmonious as some of their other classic English ales.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small tan head. Strong aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. Medium body with malt sweetness upfront and an almost overwhelming chocolate presence. Too much chocolate for my tastes.

Tastes like an Irish Car Bomb (Irish Cream, Irish Whiskey, and Stout). Could be stronger.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a somewhat cloudy, dark, brown with a tan, tall, frothy, head that dissipates very slowly. Aroma is sweet with heavy scents of chocolate and vanilla. Tastes just like it smells ... sweet, with strong chocolate flavor and hints of vanilla. The body is full, the texture is creamy, and the finish is long. What’s not to like about this? Definitely, a dee-lish beer!!

Nice coco aroma. Delicious chocolatey taste. Not much of an alcohol content, .05%, but still very tasty
