UPDATED: JAN 31, 2014 50 cl bottle. Rich aroma of sweet coffee and chocolate. Sweet fruit and sweetness. Very brown to black. Thick light brown head. Lasting long. Very sweet! Coffee, dark chocolate. Some bitterness from hops. Little metallic on the lips. Not so smooth and filling in the mouth

Amazing chocolaty aroma and flavor. More flavor than any chocolate stout I’ve had. Delicious. Definitely a sipping beer.

Damn, this thing would make Hersey's blush. It is a dark, bitter chocolate that makes for a tasty beer. No need for dessert. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Location: 550 ml bottle from State Line, 11/13/13

Aroma: The nose is full of chocolate and sugar, very sweet, lives up to its name
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a small brown head and fairly coating lace
Flavor: The taste is sweet and malty, tons of milk chocolate, almost a chocolate mix flavor
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a smooth, creamy feel, and a soft carbonation
Overall Impression: This is one heck of a sweet, gimmick beer. Very much lives up to the chocolate part of its name. Honestly, it is hard to notice anything beyond the chocolate flavor-wise. Makes for a nice, sweet alternative, but it is not an every day drinking beer.

Very smooth with great aroma and flavor to match.

Outstanding complexity on something as seemingly banal as a dessert beer. Deliberately admonishing hops and celebrating rich flavors of milk chocolate without being too sweet, this is one of the best sweet stouts available.

550 ml. bottle. Pours a very thick, well retained, beige head, with some lacing, over a clear, brown black (SRM 35).....nose is heavy chocolate, vanilla, hints of toffee/caramel, minimal hops, no esters....taste is sweet milk chocolate, cocoa, toffee/caramel, minimal hop, roasted malt bitterness on the finish....mouth feel thick, sticky, carbonation adds a light acid finish. This is a very sweet beer, with chocolate dominating aromas and flavors. The vanilla and toffee/caramel tones are pleasant, but add only slightly to the overall complexity. When a beer is this sweet and chocolatey is it beer or an alcoholic soft drink? BJCP 7/3/11/4/7

Quite a bit of cocoa here. Lots of nice, chocolate aromas, medium bodied with a thick off white head. Not a fan of the stickness it leaves in my mouth after the taste.
