Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Pours a dark brown with a darker tan head. Aroma is like chocolate milk minus the milk part of course. Taste is just about what you would expect. Tastes like a nice cocoa chocolate. A little thin, but at such a low ABV, can’t really complain. Excellent mixed with Lindeman’s Framboise.

Pours black with good head. S’mores on the nose -- honeyed biscuit, marshmallow, and chocolate. Sweet, roasty and creamy on the palate -- like a sugared mocha/frapuccino. Finishes fairly dry but with a bit of an artificial caramel finish. Full body and low carbonation.

Bottled. A brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and chocolate, leading to a dry finish.

vanelst (118) - AUSTRIA - JUN 2, 2014
Bottle. Aroma of sweet chocolate, vanilla, cacao. Taste is very sweet and chocolate-ish.,medium bitter end. The problem with this one is that the chocolate doesn´t really taste like it should, almost artificial. Second problem is that there is, apart from the heavy sweetness, nothing going on at all, which makes this a completely boring sweet stout.

Bottle received as a gift. Pours black with thick light brown head. Strong chocolate flavours, lot of sweetness. A surprisingly easy drinker for a stout

16 oz. bottle share thanks to Kacey. Appearance: finger white khaki head, chocolate brown color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: chocolate roast, coffee, caramel. Palate: full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Taste: sweet throughout, great balance and not overwhelming sweet. Overall, very good beer, first Samuel Smith’s and definitely not last.
