Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. A boozy chocolate organic stout, just as advertised. A clean, tasty beer, very highly rated. Thick and full, could be a dessert beer.

550 mL bottle pour. Pours black with a thick creamy head and lace. Sweet chocolate frosty aroma. Thivk, creamy body rich with milk chocolate. Probably too sweet for me, but I still like this beer. Dessert beer in my opinion. Pretty good.

550ml bottle at home. Dark cola-ish brown with a full tan head. Medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Very sweet with some bitter tones. Dark chocolate (lots of it), brown sugar, caramel, malts and spices. A great sweet experiment!

Pours a deep brown, almost black with a strong tan head, moderate lacing. Aroma is reminiscent of chocolate milk. Medium sweetness with a note of bitterness. Medium bodied, slightly creamy with a little fizziness. Finished with a lingering sweet, chocolaty aftertaste. Overall, best chocolate beer I have yet had, very tasty and filling.

Smells like chocolate, tastes like chocolate left out too long. This beer is not really for me. Had from a bottle.

First time having this finally. Dark brownish black pour with off white head. Aroma of big roasty grains, some bakers chocolate. Flavor is the bittersweet chocolate up front and finishes with nice roasty bitter on the back end. Lingering chocolate on the palate. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, plenty of flavor. Nice stuff.

Bottle from Brother David, last Christmas (sorry, it’s taking me a while to catch up!) Aroma as close to milk chocolate as the real thing. Taste is sweet, milky, creamy chocolate but then with a bitter aftertaste which takes time to show itself and never really competes with the sweetness. The balance is perhaps a little too sweet but this is still delicious and it complements the remainder of the Christmas tub of Quality Street well.

Aroma is rich chocolate sweet malt forward, hint of bourbon. Appearance is dark brown with hint of red and huge frothy tan head that lingers for a long time. Taste is rich chocolate forward with buttery toffee taste follow. Very sweet. Little bitterness from hops perceived. Hardly any roastiness. Palate is medium full. Sweet chocolate toffee creaminess linger on the tongue. Overall a very nice beer. Quite rich and chocolate is pronounced. I suppose this is exactly what it is trying to be but I could have used a bit more roastiness or bitterness.
