Black pour with a nice tan head. Smells like Hershey’s syrup. Sweet chocolate, sugar, and maybe a touch of cream. Roasted malt, light coffee, and some light toffee. The flavor is very sweet. Tons of chocolate, Hershey’s syrup, sugar, and a bit of cream. Roasted malt, light coffee, and a touch of water on the finish.

Bottle. Confortably the most chocolatey beer I’ve tasted. Not to sweet condisering the all encompassing chocolate flavour.

This one poured a medium to dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma was of lots of milk chocolate, light roast, but mainly chocolate. Flavor was similar, lots of chocolate, without being too sweet, kind of like a tootsie roll beer. Good.

Bomber from Whole Foods. The aroma is incredible, but overall the stout is a little thin for my liking. The chocolate is nice at the beginning, but finishes with a weird taste that I can’t figure out.

Smells like cake -- sweet and chocolate. Beautiful appearance, deep clear black with ruby accents and a frothy brown head. Very sweet tasting beer which I normally don’t like, but in this case it works. Creamy and fizzy, very nice!

50cl bottle. Pours opaque black with a nice crema head. The nose has chocolate, cream and alcohol. The taste has Crunchie bar and severely dark chocolate. The palate is medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and a long elegant finish. Overall, a lovely beer.

550 mL bottle split with some bras. Pours black with a tan head. Big aroma of milk chocolate, along with a bit of coffee and roast. Flavor is milk chocolate, with a creamy kinda lactic mouthfeel. Smooth, clean, and very tasty. The first "organic" beer I’ve had that I can say I really enjoyed.

Having had several chocolate stouts, I can say definitively that this is the ONLY one that goes beyond hints, aromas, overtones and subtlety, The darn thing tastes of chocolate, and almost to a grit. Would you ask - is it overly sweet like a sugary milk chocolate? Nope. Is it under sweetness like a heavy, imbalanced dark chocolate? Nope. This is the only chocolate beer I’ve had that I would say is worthy to be called ’chocolate’. (p.s. I love Young’s Double Choc. in it’s own right - but.. nope.)
