Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Bottle (550 ml). From Sammy, thanks! Brown with a medium mostly lasting beige head and little lacing. Aroma is of intense milk chocolate, cocoa powder, marshmallow, caramel and vanilla. Taste is sweet (almost cloying) with a ton of milk chocolate and cocoa along with vanilla, marshmallow and carmel. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Chalky mouthfeel. Unidimensional and too much milk chocolate/cocoa powder forward. Not bad, but not really enjoyable.

Pours black with a small head which doesn’t last long. Aroma is lots and lots of milky chocolate, slight hints of coffee. Taste is all about the chocolate- it is smooth and silky, velvety mouthfeel, you want to bite down on it. Really nice.

pours clear brown with a very nice creamy light beige head, some retention and lacing. intense milk chocolate with marshmallows, vanilla, dusty sweetened cocoa, hazelnuts, nutty caramel, chalky, clean and tasty yeast. not necessarily cloying but fairly sweet. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily, sweet and slightly grassy-peppery finish. finding myself really enjoying it even though this is a cold malted milk chocolate. tasty but somewhat linear.

A good chocolate aroma with a matching taste. Not too sweet with a nice finish. It’s what a Chocolate Stout should taste like.

Not that great. Tastes like fake Nesquick. Bit of a let down after some major hype from my brother.

Amazing chocolate stout. True chocolate flavor on the paddle and in the finish...smooth and not overly carbonated... coffee undertones but at the same time not a dark chocolate taste. Milk chocolate comes to mind. Absolutely love this beer.
