Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Very chocolatey aroma that carries over into the taste. Typical stout notes with a mild coffee undertone. Light in alcohol for a stout, but that adds to its drink-ability. Overall, very nice and would definitely buy again.

EdKing (1967) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle from Wholefood Markets, Kensington. Opaque very dark brown, lighter at the edges. Nose is very rich syrupy chocolate, vanilla, milky, lactic and something almost medicinal, like cough syrup. Taste is very rich, milky chocolate, cough syrup. On the finish there’s a lot of vanilla and the cough syrup taste. Not sure about this. After a minute there’s quite an unpleasant aftertaste. Roasted malt, milky cough syrup.

pineypower (2527) - Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle from spirits Manahawkin. Pours out black with a small white head. Aroma is of a good deep chocolate brownie mix, cocoa, light roast and more rich chocolate, man this smells good. Taste however is way over the top. Crazy chocolatey sweetness, rich cocoa, syrup, raw brownie mix, light roast and some bitterness. Way too sweet on the taste.
