2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with a medium beige head that holds well. Great lacing. Powerful aroma of Coco Pops, vanilla ice-cream and Twiglets. It’s very sweet - flavours of chocolate and cocoa powder. After a while it becomes very cloying. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. A creamy, chocolatey Stout that’s just too sweet for my liking. I couldn’t finish the bottle. More like a chocolate cake than a beer.

Bottle from Wegmans. Pours black with a large brown head. The aroma has a big lactose kick followed by milk chocolate. The taste is sweet milk chocolate, lightly roasty. Silky mouthfeel and very enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours and smells like a typical chocolate stout. Palate and mouthfeel is a little thin for the style, but the taste is pretty good. Not the best samuel smith beer by any means, but this is better than Young’s Dbl Chocolate stout in terms of depth of flavor (and not just a chocolate bar floating in a beer).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: chocolate, vanilla, mocha, hazel, slight roasted barley, slight fruit.
Appearance: generally black with deep brown and red hues. Light brown creamy lasting head. Lacing in the glass.
Palate: med/heavy body, low carbonation. Finish leans towards a long lasting nutty chocolate flavor.
Taste: foreshadowed by aroma. In decreasing strength, mocha, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, sweet malt, roasted barley.
Needs a stronger base and would like more chocolate if thats the name.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Smell reminds me of YoHoo chocolate drink chocolatey and creamy. Rich sweet milk chocolate flavor with a hint of roastiness. Not overly complex but not one noted at all. Easy to drink but very satisfying. Would have liked for this to be just a tad heavier and filling but that would make it less drinkable. This is a very good beer would DEFINITELY buy again.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, from some online place in the USA. Wonderful aroma of roasted coconut over the chocolate base. The beer is totally opaque dark brown, with a beautiful gray-beige creamy head. Flavours are lovely dark chocolate, milk chocolate, coconut milk and that same roasted coconut that brings the magic to the aroma. Delightful creamy palate. Another masterpiece of my favourite brewery. No need for the "organicness". That gimmick only takes away from the authenticity of this beer.
