Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2013 Poured from bottle into a snifter. Pours a dark brown with a fluffy tan head. Minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma smells of sweet roasted chocolate with a generous dose of vanilla. Taste is the same roasted chocolate up front and finishes with the vanilla. Definitely more of a dessert beer because of the sweetness and vanilla. After drinking on it for awhile, the vanilla seems too much. Goes down very smoothly but not quite silkily.

From notes: Poured opaque black with a 2-finger bone-colored head. Nice, rich cocoa aroma. Full body with a long finish that is very slightly oily. Roasty flavor up front, quickly giving way to a very nice cocoa flavor that lingers pleasantly.

Aroma: Smelling of chocolate and vanilla.
Appearance: A foggy black colored beer. A off-white head with small lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet milk chocolate and vanilla.
Palate: Medium low carbonation, a soft texture. A medium body.
Overall: Sweet, overly sweet.
Note: Bottle 500 ml at a De Klomp tasting. Reviewed 2013-05-04.

Pours a dark cola brown with a lacy tan head. Aroma is full of sweet chocolate scents. Flavor is sweet and chocolately. Lot’s of cocoa. Almost to the point of being too chocolately, but it stops right at that point. pretty good.

550 ml. Opaque with a small ring of bubbles, Nose is vanilla, chocolate, cookie dough. Tastes are chocolate, coffee, vanilla and bread with touches of apple, raisin and cherry. Medium body has medium carbonation and is way to the sweet side, but is almost rescued at the end by the roasty acidity. Quality ingredients, but too sweet even for a sweet stout.

This beer is one of my favourites. Great chocolate taste, but does not cover up the beer flavour either. Slightly bitter dark chocolate notes.

Black pour with a nice tan head. Smells like Hershey’s syrup. Sweet chocolate, sugar, and maybe a touch of cream. Roasted malt, light coffee, and some light toffee. The flavor is very sweet. Tons of chocolate, Hershey’s syrup, sugar, and a bit of cream. Roasted malt, light coffee, and a touch of water on the finish.
