Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Pours a dark brown--lighter than most stouts, but still opaque in the glass--with a 1-finger khaki head. Aroma is hot cocoa. Taste is milk chocolate. They weren’t kidding when they called this a chocolate stout. Honestly, this tastes like a girl’s beer. The added cane sugar steals away any bitterness this beer might have had, and makes it taste like sweet milk chocolate. Good for what it is, and sessionable at only 5%,, but it feels dumbed down. Worth a try for $4 a 550 ml, but only if you love chocolate.

Well this is disappointing. They should have left out the cane sugar. Makes it seem like fake chocolate. It is like if I were to drink a glass of pudding next to the fire place while someone I don’t like rubbed my shoulders. Gross milk.

Pours black with big off white head. Great chocolate and coco nose, really appetizing, includes a good amount of vanilla. Big chocolate flavor, quality chocolate with lots of coco as well. The dark malt background is perfect combination. Medium body on this, easy to drink. Really great beer, lacking complexity but this one makes up for it with warmth and comfort.

Wow, incredibly yummy beer! Faultless! Poured at a good temperature with a thick, foamy, tan head that lasts and some lace. Color is a clear, dark brown with cherry highlights. Aroma is massivley cocoa with malt. Flavor’s like nose, sweet malt and cocoa up front with a hint of bitter and carbonic tang in the back. Body is full, round, and lush with perfect carbonation. Finish is fairly long, like flavor, and very satisfying. This beer is just faultless. Love to try it with a scoop of Sweet Shop New York ice cream.

550mL bottle. Pours black, chocolate milk colored foam. Beautiful lacing. Wow, smells of chocolate malt, cocoa, and Rogue Chocolate Stout. Tastes of sweet cocoa. Very solid, loads of chocolate. A good beer for a noob. (3557)

Certainly delivers on the chocolate aspect. A nice brown body with a tan head that faded away to fast, but had some nice lacing. Aroma had a nice hit if cocoa powder mixed with some semi-sweet chocolate. Did remind me of kids cereal. There was a hint of grain in there. Flavor was sweet not cloyingly sweet. chocolate dominated the flavor, it was like drinking a malted milk. Smooth body and a creamy presence. Somewhat dry on the finish. Although on dimensional it was still good.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2013 Bottle. Dark dark brown with a medium light brown head. Aroma is strong milk chocolate, a little banana. Taste is very sweet, nothing but chocolate really, slightly artificial. Finish is sweet, with just a touch of roasted bitterness. Body is light,, needs to be much more full-bodied. Average to lively carbonation. By far the most chocolatey beer I’ve ever tasted.

500mL. Pours a clear deep reddish brown. Thick, tan, rocky head. Webby lacing. Nose is very sweet vanilla. Taste is sweet, artificial, big cream soda. Big vanilla extract. Girl beer noobs at the party loved it. My fiancé did not. Unfortunately I get a lot of sweet ketchup vegetal character.

550ml bottle. Pours brown black looking with a big fluffy foamy khaki/tan head that slowly settles to a sudsy film and lacing. Aroma is pure bitter milk chocolate. Taste is more milk chocolate faint subtle bitterness and more rich chocolate. Palate is medium silky and finishes dry. If you like chocolate in your beer, here it is! Look no further!
