COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

This poured a black color with a reddish hue and a beige head. The aroma is like chocolate milk and some cereral notes. The flavor is very chocolately with lots of cocoa and a slight coffee and vanilla presence. It is not as sweet as it sounds it is actually very well balanced. Overall this a very nice beer right on par with Youngís Chocolate Stout.

Nose is chocolate, that is all. Head is 3 fingers. Not very full bodied stout. Tastes as one would imagine, very chocolatey but not overwhelming. Good roasted malt flavor. Hops are there but well Heiden behind loads of chocolate. On a scale of puke to OH My!, this come in at meh... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

550ml bottle - $3.49 at Luckyís in Woodstock, Georgia.

Appearance: Near black body with a tall, frothy, beige head.

Smell: Roasted malts, though, itís largely a scent of chocolate syrup. Itís odd, Iíve found a few of the chocolate beer scents a bit repellent, but others Iíve found to be just fine and dandy. This is one of those fine and dandy times.

Taste: Roasted, toasted maltiness, really just enough of a scaffolding to hold the chocolate flavoring. Maybe a faint fruitiness. Maybe. Mostly just a sweet, chocolaty thing, like those Hostess cupcakes minus the white swirls.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: Hits the spot, if youíre looking for a pleasing chocolaty dessert beer.

Almost overwhelming chocolate nose, you?d think it was a really good hot chocolate made with dark chocolate. Looks black but the light is dim. More intense chocolate in the mouth a touch of Malt.Just a whisper of hops helps clean the palate. Great for the chocolate flavor and interesting but don?t think I?d want more than one.

Pours an inky black with a big, bubbly tan head that lasts a long time. The aroma isnít to complex, but is well done with rich dark chocolate, cocoa, and a very candyish impression. Similar taste. It is quite sharp and strong at first. While its potency dissipates in to a nice subtle flavor, it is long lasting. Medium bodied with a slick, oily texture. This one is delicious. The only drawback, which is important in my eyes, is that it is very sweet. One of these is probably enough. This might be just fine, as this is the perfect desert beer.

By far the best chocolate stout I have ever tasted. The chocolate taste is overly apparent, and for those who would like to taste more stout than chocolate, this beer is not for you. Amazing with a slice of chocolate cake.

A perfect "10" on aroma. Smelled like a chocolate cupcake. A bit thin, but an excellent, not overly powerful, chocolate taste. Loved it.

Bottle from Global Wines, Bearwood. Extremely chocolatey - feels like a pot of Nutella has been added. Smooth. Canít decide if this is too artificial, or sweet and tasty. Possibly the former.

550ml bottle shared with Finn at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese where it was chilled down too far. Very nice appearance with a creamy, tan-coloured head over dark brown coloured body. Spotty lacing. Smell of vanilla chocolate. Creamy chocolate taste. Dry ending. Smooth and clean in the mouth. Ok (London, 03.11.2012).
