Dark chocolate, sweet malt character. Flavor also has some raisin, molasses/toffee, licorice. Nice cocoa aftertaste. Really sweet -- but it works well with the chocolate flavor.

550 ml bottle, at the Robert Raike’s House (a Samuel Smith pub), Gloucester. Served ice cold. ABV is 5%. Nearly black colour, ruby in the highlights. Moderate beige head. Lovely aroma of chocolate, cocoa and vanilla, hints of marshmallows. Fairly light bodied. Medium sweet flavour of chocolate, cocoa and vanilla again. Low bitterness.

Dark brown colour with light brown soflty head. You can smell all ingredients, quoted on the bottle: Cocoa, cane, chocolate. The same is flavour with nice chocolate aftertaste. Bitterness is low but is well balanced with maltiness. Good beer.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a tall tan head. The aroma was originally strongly milk chocolate but mellowed out with notes of roasted malts and vanilla. The taste is chocolate and a slightly note of burnt caramel, while the texture is creamy with a smooth finish. Very good.

Bottle kindly shared by Daniel, thanks! Brown/red/blackish with a small beige head. Aroma has loads and loads of milk chocolate, quite sweet, perhaps some vanilla as well. Taste is roasted and also has milk chocolate, chocolate pudding, sweetness and well balanced bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation, smooth.
Surprisingly big for a 5% stout! Never had a beer with this much milk chocolate in aroma and taste. Great stuff!

550 ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.

Looks: Deep Cola blackish brown colour; Almost two finger head with crumpety beige foam which lasted for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with active slight carbonation.

Aroma: Rich, fragrant and very sweet dark malt, with very strong milk chocolates, Belgian waffles, sugar, strong cream, cocoa powder, light caramel, toffee and faint grass.

Taste: Pleasant, mid to strong sweet roasted dark malt, with fair tartness, roasted nuts, strong milk chocolates, strong Belgian waffles, strong cream, cocoa powder, burnt toast, sugar, yeast, strong lemon, strong bitter hops and sharp grass.

Body: Mid to light; Slick, smooth and quite creamy palate.

Mouth Feel: Naturally good! Below the seemingly chocolate overkill lies a nicely-roasted rich dark maltyness with good nutty feel. Its body is on the thin side but more than compensate by roasted cocoa, it feels like hot chocolate or Milo powder being sprinkled nicely to every sips. The sweetness is whipped cream on waffles, it’s sweet but in a light-hearted way and without being offensive. Amazing! Its aroma and taste match almost perfectly and I love it!

Hoppiness: Thin grass in nose. Strong lemon and sharp grass for taste. Bitterness is strong to match nicely with the milk chocolate for a lasting, strong astringent sweet-bitter finish.

After Taste: Slightly dry. Very chocolatey, smooth and very hoppy to mouth.

Comments: I rate this with Saltaire’s Triple Chocoholic in mind, and this is way better: it doesn’t have that liquid chocolate syrup impression of the latter, but rather a drinkable creamed waffles with cocoa and well-sweetened milk chocolates that melted on the teeth, topped with strong and expressive bitter hops. The best thing is the taste echoed perfectly to the impressive aroma, a rarity to beers these days. I love its every bit of it. Highly recommended!
