3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle split with a friend; poured my allotment into a snifter. As the beer pours it looks thin like muddy water, but as the beer sits in the glass, it take son a much more foreboding blackness. A small beige head rest atop. The aroma of this beer is insane. Sweet cream, vanilla beans, chocolate syrup, butterscotch - crazy sweet smell. This reminds me of an overly-sweet coffee drink.
Super creamy mouthfeel. Carbonation is light, but not overly thin. The sweetness carries over to the flavor quite so. A huge wallop of vanilla, chocolate milk, syrup, marshmallows, whipped cream, etc. Bordering on cloying. This is too much for me I think. I can’t find any aspect of this that makes it a ’beer.’ There are better example of sweet stouts that carry some residual sweetness, but don’t compromise on the base beer flavors. I’m glad I split this bottle. An entire bottle would have been a chore for me. This has ’dessert’ and ’ice cream’ written all over it.
No on to check my blood glucose...

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy light brown colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated opaque except at the edges dark black brown colored body. The nice aroma was chocolate and dark malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering mild roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt mild hops chocolate and dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Freias melkesjokolade i flytende form. Myk, avrundet, mild og nesten uten bitterhet. Brunsvart med fint, beige skum. Et godt deleøl, best i små glass.

In bottiglia.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours dark brown with a frothy to creamy briefly lasting brown head that leaves some lacing. aroma is overpowered by milk chocolate that has the smell of Hershey’s chocolate syrup -- not very appealing for a beer. Heavy sweet, light body, not balanced, no bitter, flavor of malted milk balls, thin, soft carbo, and a dry sweet finish.

Wow. Don’t try chocolate flavored beer in the states before you’ve had this. The aroma is sweet, like molasses and chocolate milkshake. The taste is amazing. It’s not too sweet, rather it’s like a root beer.

It is a good chocolate stout, sweeter than the young’s. The color is black and white foam, low carbonation. The taste is really sweet but it is not unpleasant, it is like milk and chocolate for the breakfast, few hop, milk chocolate, some roasted malt. I bought this bottle at Zürich, at the drink of the world.
