4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A: Huge chocolate note. An acidity cuts trough giving a fruitiness to the chocolate backbone. Almost like low quality chocolate or so.
A: Pours thin and lackluster but the heat is creamy and very nice. In the glass it looks more bold than during the pour.
T: Taste is identical to the smell. Chocolate is a huge player and the subtle fruitiness comes through. What I like about this beer compared to other chocolate beers is it’s a more fruity chocolate than a bitter chocolate (which depends on where you grow your beans (I designed a chocolate factory.....)) Goes down easy.
P: Acidic on the palate but good flavor development. Medium body.
Overall this is a great beer. As mentioned before, this is different than other chocolate beers where it brings a more fruit note than a bitter note. Also nice to see a chocolate beer that is lower ABV. This was killer, and with the medium body this is a beer that beer lovers can love, but probably a good beer to convert people with. A must try.

Good chocolate flavor, though it tends more to more Yoo-Hoo than Ghirardelli.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Almost black and medium-bodied. Very rich chocolate aroma and flavour. Full, yet mild, sweet taste with light bitterness. Overall, a great chocolate stout. Smooth and simple, but the rich chocolate makes it very tasty.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
My first Samuel Smith beer. Aroma of sweet milk chocolate and vanilla. Taste follows the nose but the chocolate has a somewhat artificial flavor. Mouthfeel is thin with a clean, sweet finish. No bitterness or hop influence detectable. Fun to try but this is a one and done.

Sample. It poured a black color with a tan head. The aroma was of sweet caramel and chocolate. The taste was similar to the aroma with more caramel, chocolate, malts and sugar. Tasty.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Alko. Pours black with small tan head. Aroma and taste have vanilla and a lot of chocolate. People who don’t normally like beer, will probably like this one. This would work perfectly as a desert, it is very sweet. Liquid chocolate.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
fantastische subtiel, maar zeer aanwezige chocola, ook zitten er wat belgische (gist?) tonen in, en zelf iets raars fruitigs? zeer interessant... melkachtig mondgevoel, erg lekker

Bottle, black beer, big almond colored head. Aroma milk chocolate, vanilla. Taste is milk chocolate, vanilla. Palate is smooth and rich, carbonation subdued. This tastes like a stout/ice cream float.
