Rich, decadent aroma is primarily chocolate with an undertone of brandy and fruit - like sniffing a Hershey bar that’s been dipped into Grand Marnier. Pours a deep, warm, opaque sable with a thick and rather persistent light tan head. Flavor fills the mouth with sweet chocolate, fruity and brandy notes plus hints of roast malt and caramel. Smooth, syrupy texture has firm body and a good amount of fizz. A perfect dessert beer, lip-smacking and most enjoyable.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours dark brown with a creamy cappuccino head that unfortunately dissipates quickly. Chocolate dominates the bouquet and punches you in the face when you take that first sip. Like a McDonald's chocolate thickshake, this is one to savour. Long lingering chocolate mousse finish. Sensational.

Bottle at Congress, Longton. Pours black brown with a tan head. Very chocolatey which shouldn’t a criticism in a chocolate stout but it is quite overpowering to me. Decent enough.

Blackish ruby color with thin fine pored beige foam. The smell is absolutely incredible. Creamy milk chocolate with a hint of liquor. Not too heavy, almost a bit watery. Very creamy, foamy chocolate taste. Smooth mouth feeling. Very nice beer.

I’ve fallen in love with this brew!! Just another example of Sam Smith excellence. From the look, aroma, mouthfeel, and taste...just extraordinary. If you’re a lover of chocolate, vanilla, and beer....you’re gonna love this! Pairs well with a cigar too.
