Ingredients: Water; Organic malted barley; Organic cane sugar; Yeast; Organic hops; Organic cocoa extract; Carbon dioxide
Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

500ml bottle. Tons of chocolate in the nose, not leaving room for much else in fact, other than some dark roast, sweetness, vanilla and brown malts. Dark brown-black in color, head is uneven and lasting. Mega-chocolate flavor as well, one of the chocolatey-est beers I’ve had, if not the most, with huge dark chocolate from start to end, more faintly roasty coffeeish touches here and there, but plenty of sweetness overrides that for the most part, finishing with more lactose-like sweetness and chocolate. A bit much, overall, and not very beery.

Butelka. Barwa czarna z rubinowymi refleksami. Piana obfita, beżowa, średnio pęcherzykowa. Zapach kiepskiej bombonierki, sztucznej czekolady, czy polewy do lodów. W tle nieco owoców. Smak: owoce (głównie wiśnia), sztuczna czekolada (zdecydowanie aromat, a nie ziarno kakaowca), nieco wanilii (krem jak w kiepskich markizach), biały cukier wnoszący nieprzyjemną słodycz. Ciemne słody. goryczka niska.

550ml bottle. Pours a thin looking dark brown with a medium sized tan head. Aromas of dry cocoa powder, some milkshake. Taste is sweet and lightly bitter. Flavors of chocolate milkshake, Hershey’s syrup, light roast. Sweet, but very nicely done in a way that it’s never cloying. Fuck it, I like it. Also, I’m drunk and high and waiting for hamburgers to be delivered to my house.

Bottle at the Princess Louise, Holborn. Lively and black. Big creamy beige/tan head. Lots of carbonation. There isn’t much chocolate in the aroma. More liquorice, a bit of coffee and alcoholic astringency. The taste is pretty good: bitterness and chocolatey sweetness giving way to a gentle bitterness in the finish. Fairly poor mouthfeel, weaker than I’d like. An odd and unwelcome metallic aftertaste. Firmly in the ’ok but not great’ category. And certainly not cheap.

Pours a deep dark brown. Almost black. It has a thick brown foamy head. Aroma of cocoa. Taste like Yoohoo. Very chocolatey with a hint of roast. An interesting Stout.

Pours a dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma is sublime: sweet dark chocolate and hints of fruit. Flavor is chocolate, though not too sweet, with just a touch of bitterness. Delicious.

From pint bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a small lighter highlight at the edge and a 1 finger cappuccino-like head. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, stewed fruit, cherry and a little milk coffee. Taste is dark fruit at the front before rich chocolate and vanilla emerge and dominate the palate. Creamy mouthfeel. Lingering milk chocolate finish with a touch of vanilla in the aftertaste. Love it.

55 cl bottle @ Kaunis Kampela. Aroma is rather nice with sweet chocolate and vanilla. Flavour has artifical chocolate, some cocoa and licorice. Good, could be even better with stronger body. The artifical chocolate essences start to disturb a bit at the end of the glass.
