4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
I prefer the Pure Brewed Lager over this find, but I was pleasantly surprised. Still worthy of bearing the name.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This lager has a very pretty clear gold appearance, but beyond that itís not particularly remarkable. The taste isnít bad, but is somehow lacking. This is my least favorite of Sam Smithís generally excellent brews.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light gold color. A medium bodied lager. Mild malts and fairly aggressively hopped. Full flavor. Good taste. Clean, crisp and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 21, 2003 Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The head leaves a fair amount of lacings on the glass. The aroma is malty sweet and grassy, with a hint of hops. Flavor is slightly hoppy with a decent maltiness and a grain-like quality. Good, but probably my least favorite Sam Smith beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
I did not like the smell at all. It smells like oats and rice. Color is outstanding but the taste is rather bland and tangy. Not what I weas hoping for from this brewer.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Perfectly clear golden, just the sort you would want to swim through on a warm summer day. The sweet malty aroma could be mistaken for wet feet. Flavours donít really jump onto the tongue -> pretty bland, but with a bit of patience (Old Taddy deserves it) some fruity hops can be found and mild malts will linger on the palate.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A little hoppy, yes, and pleasantly malted. Though this beer is somewhat disappointing when you compare it to the phenomenal ales that Sam Smithís puts out. All in all, itís a touch crisp and has a head that lingers nicely.
