A full-bodied lager with lots of malt and hop character. A touch hoppier than many lagers yet perfectly balanced with lots of fruity hop character and fragrance.

16oz bottle, pale, golden clear, white foam, perfect pale lager. Great taste, hoppy taste (not overwhelming) that I was surprised to find in a lager, balanced, with malt backbone. Clean, crisp taste. Overall, an organic beer that I found enjoyable.

The beer is crystal clear, and appears light yellow hued. The head measures nearly an inch thick, slowly descending to a thin, white layer. The aroma is of pils malt, light citrus, and grain. It smells good for the style. The flavor is excellent, and I can see why this beer ranks best in its class. Clean and refreshing. The beer is light, simple, and pleasant. Toast, biscuits, bread, with a hint of citrus. Terrific balance. I could drink several of these. Thoroughly enjoyable. I wish this was available in six packs. I will certainly be having this one again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 08-07-2011

Bottle. Lightly malty aroma. Taste is similar bit a bit of a bitter hop bite. Watery overall and really just an average, sort of bland beer. 5% abv.

Flaske på Cafe Blaagaards Apotek: som en tørr tysk pils, kanskje med litt ekstra kropp. Ingenting spesielt, så dette ble en engangshendelse.

On draft at some pub in Glasgow, UK. Clear golden colored, white head. Hoppy nose, more malty in flavor. Pleasantly bitter. Nice lager.

12oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of pale malts, bread, and light hops. Flavor the same. Average to light texture. A good beer for the style.

(bottle) clear yellow colour with a small white head; aromas of noble hops; clean and balanced flavour, very good - if only all pale lagers were that...

12 oz. bottle poured into a beer mug. A: Pours a medium straw color with perfect clarity and intense looking carbonation. The head is a two finger white color with surprisingly decent retention. S: Very grassy and zesty, almost to the point of having a slight ’skunk’ to it (it’s not a bad skunk, though). There are also slight hints of fruitiness in the scent. Solid enough. T: The grassiness moves down to the taste buds, augmented by a light malt backbone and a hint of fruitiness. It’s almost like bizarro Heineken in a manner, refreshing and easy to drink without being offensively skunky. M: Has a nice thickness, especially for a lager, without being overly bloated. It isn’t overly carbonated, allowing it to go down in an incredibly easy manner. O: Quite a good thirst quencher, but a little expensive for what it is. At least it offers enough over the Heinekens of the world to make it worth it.
