My go-to lager. Wish I could see this on at Samuel Smith pubs rather than the pure brewed lager (also a fine beer).

Pint at the Cramond Inn. Slightly hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. Grassy aroma. Grassy lemon flavour with a bitter finish. A very nice lager.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear pale yellow with a medium foamy white head. Aroma has straw...slightly sweet. Flavor has light grassiness and wet straw. Mouthfeel is light and lively with a crisp, dry finish that lingers with grassiness.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A good head on this beer gives it a good look. It has a malty almost caramel aftertaste. It goes down smoothly and has fruity almost apple like taste. A good enjoyable easy to drink beer.

Bottle at home. Palest gold lager with honey and light grassiness on nose. Fluffy white head which soon dissipates. Well carbonated, light in body with a touch of shortcake malt and a long dry bitter finish. Gains more citrus character down glass. Pleasant enough.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
It's wheaty aroma is the strongest thing going for it. Clear yellow color. Minimal flavor. Left me with nothing for palate.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma is a bit stale and very yeasty. Color was a cloudy orange with minimal head. Carbonation was flat in the mouth, like drinking water. Yeasty and nothing remarkable about flavor.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
18.7 oz. bottle. Samuel Smith’s Organic Lager has a thick, creamy, white head and a slightly hazy, extremely bubbly, straw appearance, leaving lots of thick lacing behind. The aroma is sweet barley malt, biscuit, and just a touch of stinging hops. Taste is wonderful- sweet barley malt, sugar, water, and good hop balance. Mouthfeel is light, and Samuel Smith’s Organic Lager finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, ultra drinkable, and mostly dry. Overall, this is a most excellent beer! RJT

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500mL bottle. Poured clear, bright golden with a creamy white head.. looked good. The aroma picked up bready malt with light accents of honey and apricot.. clean lemon zest and grassy notes around.. very pleasant. The flavor found similar malts at the core (not much fruit, though), with fresh, crisp grass, lemon zest, and a touch of white pepper around.. finished fairly spicy with a hit of carbonation too. Lighter-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. crisp and well-balanced.. this was a very good drinker.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled 550ml. -Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, lively carbonation, light malty nose. Malty, slight hoppy and caramel with notes of grass and hint of honey. Boring and nothing special here.
