Smells lovely, just not like beer. My favourite smell is probably thyme, but I wouldn’t want beer to smell like thyme (I think). So should I score this highly because it smells nice just not of beer? I don’t actually care what you think, I’ve gone for 8. Tastes of.... raspberries. Go figure.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, red coloured hue with a medium-sized pink foamy head. Distinctive aroma of raspberries with a mildly malty background. Sweet and slightly sour-tart flavour, light bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Raspberry flavours upfront with a tinge of malt beyond; moderately sweet and mildly sour-tart finish with notes of raspberries in the aftertaste. A tad sweet but nevertheless likeable and refreshing. 15.II.13

Poured from bottle. Opaque deep red with a very light pink head. Smells of raspberry jam. Tastes initially of sweet raspberries with a bitter tart finish.

Very delightful raspberry ale. Has a bit of a funny smell at first but the taste more than makes up for it. One of the better raspberry fruit beers.

550 ml into strange glass. Pours almost a blood red/purple, like a raspberry puree. High carbonation and a soapy light pink head with good retention leaving laces on the glass. Nose is tart raspberries and esters. Taste is sweet, raspberries, some malt and a crisp dry finish leaving a subtle raspberry flavor on the palate. Somewhat dull mouthfeel, but an overall great beer, id purchase again.

Pours red-brown with a slightly pink head. Scent is stong raspberry. Taste is tart, slightly sticky, raspberry. A bit dusty tasting. OK, just not a favourite.

Pours pink/red with strong Rsapberry scent. All in all not to bad, but tastes more like a wine cooler than a beer. Not a big fan of fruity beer, but absolutely love Samuel Smith’s so I thouhgt I would give it a try.

Bottle. Cloudy pink/purple pour with a medium light pink head. Aroma of raspberries, bread and yeast. Sweet, sticky flavor with a nice finish.
