Bottle pours blood red with a pink head. Aroma of raspberries. Taste is.........you guessed it tart raspberries. There is a faint earthy almost ashtray like aftertaste on the tongue. Disappears quickly but not sure where it comes from. Good beer but the weird aftertaste knocks it down a bit.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
550 ml bottle. Pours a dark jammy red with moderate pink head that settles quickly. Aromas of raspberry and strawberry jam. Follows through with a similar thick raspberry flavor. I don’t know if this is a beer or a fruit drink - but it’s enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from 550mL bottle. Medium dark red with pink head. Aroma of actual fresh raspberries, no concentrate noticeable whatsoever like most other raspberry beers. Taste does seem to have a little extra sweetness added, but it still gets that sweet and tart nature of raspberries to show through. Medium body, finish a little on the shorter end of things. Definitely one of my top fruit beers.

Quite wonderful aroma, appearance, and flavor. A truly fruity delight that has an appropriate medium tartness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins. Pours a hazy plum appearances with an off white / a touch pinkish head. Juicy, tart, raspberry / cranberry, slightly sweet aroma. Somewhat goopy, raspberry purée, plum, tart berry, soda-like flavor. Best of the fruit renditions I’ve had by Samuel Smith. Pretty good.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 14, 2014 No fruit extract here! Samuel Smith’s Organic Raspberry takes the natural approach without any shortcuts. And I must say, the difference is clear. The raspberry taste in this beer is simply awesome. It’s a bit tart but it also has a lot of rich sweetness without being overbearing. Admittedly these beers usually aren’t my thing, but Samuel Smith’s take on the style is expertly done.

A- Dark red color, hazy liquid, pink head.
T- Raspberries, slightly sweet, slighty tart.
P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, tart finish.
O- A great beer. The raspberry is a little on the sour side but still very good.

Bottle; poured a ruby type color with a whitish head that has a touch of pink. Aroma of raspberry yeast, wheat, barley and must. Flavor was sweet with raspberry predominantly. Some caramel and sweet malt notes. A bit too sweet at first, but opens up well.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bright red with tall foamy pink head. Raspberry jam aroma. Taste is rich raspberry. Mostly sweet but a bit of tartness balances it. Awesome flavor but only for a dessert ale.
