COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised;
Also known as Organic Raspberry Handcrafted Fruit Ale
A product of England this is an ale brewed with raspberry juice and natural flavours added. Brewed at All Saints in Stamford Lincolnshire and blended and bottled at Samuel Smith’s Brewery. The finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation. This beer is blended with pure organic raspberry fruit juice and a previously cellared brew creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Not as aromatic as the Samuel Smith Cherry Ale, but it makes up for lack of aroma with a lively and rich, fruity taste. It’s lightly carbonated which makes it a very easy drink and in my opinion, helps you enjoy the flavors of sweet raspberries. It pours a deep red with a fizzy pink head that dissolves quickly. Good brew.

Deep red clear beer with a good size pink head! Palate is light and a little crisp. Big raspberry with both tart and sweet aspects. Sweet just about wins but the tartness is always there. Finishes neutral.

Taste from a bomber. Flavor is very sweet and raspberry. Almost no beer or alcohol flavor. Amazed that this was over 5 abv. Almost tastes like candy.

Bottle from Cornelius Wines, Edinburgh [120813]
Vibrant red, clear, pink frothy head
Aroma of raspberry jam, sweet red fruits, very fruity, no beer aroma
Taste of raspberry jam fruits, very fruity sweet, not getting the underlying beer but the raspberry taste is very good
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, very sweet palate, rather too sweet for me. Finish - sweet raspberry finish
Overall - Very nice fruit beer - but in small quantities as very sweet

Bottle at PIB, pours an opaque ruby red with a small pink head. Aroma of pure raspberries, not much else to say about the nose. Flavour brings out raspberry purée, with a medium sweetness that never cloys. Very pungent and natural tasting. Nothing artificial here.

From bottle at 2013 Portland International Beerfest. Dark red color. Aroma of fresh raspberries. Taste is fully raspberry, but not artificial and is really refreshing.
