COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
The small and historical All Saints Brewery is located in Stamford, Lincolnshire - a region famous for excellent fruit. The Samuel Smithís Organic Fruit Beers are brewed and fermented there, then transferred to Samuel Smithís Brewery, in Tadcaster, for conditioning, aging, and packaging. The complex multiple yeast strains used to ferment these beers lead to a beautiful marriage with pure, rich Certified Organic fruit. Tasting notes: Strawberries offer a soft and subtle flavour, making the character of this fruit beer extremely sophisticated and refined. The smooth malt and aromatic strawberry flavours merge together in an elegant fashion, with the fresh flavours of ripe strawberries shining through.

Presentation: 19.2 oz brown bottle, served in a pint glass. Appearance: Cloudy amber color, with a one finger head that dissolves into a layer of foam that stays over the beer at all times. Thereís no lacing at all on the glass. Smell: It smells strongly of strawberry hard candy. Itís a very sweet scent. Taste: Very sweet, just like the nose. Strawberry and malt flavors are all thatís here, thereís no bitterness. Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth, with high carbonation. It gets quite cloying after a while, but itís not a big issue. Overall: A very sweet beer with huge strawberry flavors and scents. Not revolutionary or special to be honest, but a very fun experience and a must have for fruit beer lovers.

Bottle from Sip in Tallinn (Ä 4.20). BB Feb 2017. Pours a rather surprising hue of orange with perhaps only a hint of something reddish (possibly my imagination, or the dimly lit room). Headís small, off-white, showing some lace. The aroma is... hahahhaah, oh man, thatís some really straightforward strawberry lollipop... Wild strawberries rather than from the garden. But somehow in a lollipop shape, thatís for sure. Yet... strawberry Fanta from the late 1990s comes to mind. Tastes likewise, an overly sweet (sugared) fakeish wild strawberry flavour. No beeriness to be found whatsoever. Softish on the palate with very mellow carbonation, yet somehow more harsh and less soothing than the raspberry one had. Overall... too much like a soft drink, a sugar-loaded lemonade, even somewhat chemical in that regard. Teenagers would probably love to down this in shady areas if it were much cheaper.

Pours an orangish light amber. Heady, good strawberry aroma. Mix of some English esters. Mineral vanilla oaky. Same taste, nice. Fairly sweet with some tartness and mild dryness. I really like this.

bottle @ Liquor Barn / Lexington KY --- Big aroma of strawberry jam and light malt. Clear medium amber with a blush of strawberry color, thin off-white head cover, thin lace strands. Taste is somewhat sour malty strawberry flushed by strong carbonation and sweet jam on the swallow. The residue at the finish grows nicely sour. Kinda sweet ín sour strawberry with Lambic overtones. But, mostly very easy to drink on fresh warm afternoons.

0,355L bottle (from SIP, Tallinn). Pours hazy amber with faint pinkish hue and big whiteish head. The head stays. Aroma is very sweet, soapy, strawberries, vanilla. Flavor is sweet and bitter, strawberry jam, shampoo, and some wheaty notes. Overall: drinkable. Too sweet and too much soap-shampoo, but it is a strawberry beer as promised..

Pours a clear, golden yellow from the bottle with a quickly fading white head. Aromas are overpowering of strawberry - strawberry ice cream, overexuberant sweetness, almost synthetic. Taste is too sweet - not a whole lot on the palate. Maybe just not the beer for me

550ml bottle. Pours a hazy red-orange with a medium, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet, fruity aroma of strawberry and malt. Sweet flavour of strawberry, wheat and a light metallic note with a tart, slightly acidic finish. Light body with a sticky, syrupy texture and average carbonation. Ok.

Erzengel (7387) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAR 30, 2016
*Old rating. Nice but a bit artificial strawberry nose. The beer starts fruity, not too deep but fresh and refreshing. The strawberries are a bit too intense to be natural, a bit sweetish with not too much depth. The body is therefore very refreshing, the aftertaste fruity berry with fresh but sweetish strawberries.
