COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Golden colour, floral bouquet and light flavour of newly mowed hay.

Brewed with great care using only malted barley, hops, medium-soft water and a bottom-fermenting yeast; matured at low temperatures to bring out its delicate flavour and soft hop-character finish.

The cold maturation period allows the bottom-fermenting yeasts to secondary ferment and improve the lager’s flavour, purity and condition.

Koelschtrinker (8490) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 7, 2011
8/9/10/9/11/9

Thin, light-yellow lager. Medium-sized, frothy white head. Spotty lacework. The nose is extremely frail, but lightly floral. Undertones of butter and damp straw. Well-bittered with hints of grapefruit peel, corn and lime. Medium-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Short, very astringent finish.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Sweet grainy malty aroma with a distinctively flowery touch of honey on a mildly hoppy background. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Pale malty and slightly chalky taste with notes of grains and honey; lasting honey-ish malty and slightly floral finish. Very pleasant. 22.XII.10

maeib (7557) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2006
Draught - Some pub near Tralfagar Square London. A straw coloured lager with a white head and lacing. The aroma is slightly grassy hops with a little malt but also an icy nose. The taste is well balanced with a decent hop/malt balance for an English brewed lager. Drinkable.

Bottled at the Champion, Fitzrovia. Sampled alongside the Organic lager. Rather softer, with less bite and grip. Dull, but clean.
