COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Golden colour, floral bouquet and light flavour of newly mowed hay.

Brewed with great care using only malted barley, hops, medium-soft water and a bottom-fermenting yeast; matured at low temperatures to bring out its delicate flavour and soft hop-character finish.

The cold maturation period allows the bottom-fermenting yeasts to secondary ferment and improve the lager’s flavour, purity and condition.

I loved the mown-grass aroma and it is refreshing compared to most of the lagers I’ve had of late; very fresh, not too "heavy" but definitely present. It’s a very likable, full-flavored lager that puts 90% of American versions to shame.

The perfect amount of carbonation for me (much more than the oatmeal stout), very hoppy flavor, thick in content and bitter yet not overpowering aftertaste. Elegant pouring beer from an awesome bottle. I am Sammy Smith’s new #1 fan and I look forward to trying his other varieties in the very near future.

Good carbonation; nice tall head; very smooth, mild flavor with just a little bitterness in the finish.

yellow body, fully diminishing white head, uninteresting slightly repugnant aroma.

Excellent lager, very idiosyncratic hoppy, lemony aroma, good carbonation, very refreshing, clearly English bitter or maybe pale ale influenced the brewers at Sam Smith’s when they came up with this. And an equally idiosyncratic label, too.

A touch too much carbonation for my liking although others may disagree. Left a lingering hint of malt. For the price I think you could find a little better brew. I was just a hair bit disappointed but I still enjoyed this beer.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2007 A good lager.. but then again it’s still a lager. Thin head, decent flavor, but overall this won’t be a memorable beer.

Agradable lager sin voluntad de impactar, no tiene un aroma intenso y en boca es suave y agradable, espumosa, cremosa, punto freso de lúpulo lejano, una lager para tener a mano y disfrutar
