COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Golden colour, floral bouquet and light flavour of newly mowed hay.

Brewed with great care using only malted barley, hops, medium-soft water and a bottom-fermenting yeast; matured at low temperatures to bring out its delicate flavour and soft hop-character finish.

The cold maturation period allows the bottom-fermenting yeasts to secondary ferment and improve the lagerís flavour, purity and condition.

Above average beer but this is from someone who never really poops his pants in shock after drinking lagers... I was a bit surprised by the amount of carbonation...

Pours a Murky Yellow-Orange Colour with some head which dissipated rather quickly. Pleasant Yeasty Aroma with some spice and fermented fruit in the Nose. Medium to Light body flavour and it quite refreshig. Some funk in the after taste which is a tad skunky but not unpleasing. Maybe its the flavour I was looking for at the moment. Overall very refreshing and goes down lite but yet wirh flavour when you donít really want a big beer. Enjoy!

Slightly hazy, golden pour with moderate carbonation. As of the style, little to no head. Well balanced aroma with florals and sweetness. Unique, complex flavor for a lager - syrup and apricot or peach to start, with a dry hop finish. Very drinkable, definitely a session brew. Much better than a 59 rating.

I really love this beer. I believe it is more balanced than most lagers. Great flavor. Not overly comlpex but goes great with a sandwich or pizza.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2011 Although somewhat subdued, the aroma of this beer is quite pleasing, and a bit sweet for a lager. For its category, the color is directly on target-a light but thoroughly rich golden with an ample white head. This beer is quite refreshing, with detectable floral notes and an occasional citrus insinuation in addition to a more refined "grainy" quality than what is typically found in most lagers. The consistency is pretty standard, not too heavy, really more on the light side, but not at all watery. For what it is, Samuel Smith Pure Brewed Lager handily hits all of its marks and is profoundly underrated and unrecognized.

Nice yellow color with with white head. Aroma was easy on the nose. Kind of a sweet yet earthy taste to it. One of the better lagers Iíve had.

From the bottle. Pours a light golden / yellow hue with a small white head. Medium carbonation with a light malty aroma. Tasty malty flavor with a medium body. Good beer.

Pint bottle. Pours light golden with medium white head. Persistent carbonation. Slightly nutty taste at first, the hops and spruce tastes become more apparent the more I drink. Refreshing if not too special lager.

Pours a typical yellow/golden lager color with little to no white head. Aroma is faint but light and sweet almost. Taste is also light but with a really nice almost caramel taste that goes down extremely easy. Quite satisfying.
