Cask at Captain Kidd, Wapping. Pours a pale golden coloured beer with a frothy white head. Aroma of hops, grass and citrus. Taste is earthy with malts and hops quite well balanced. Very much a lager/pils rather than a bitter. Still a pleasant session beer.

Cask @ Chandos, London. Amber colour with nitro head. Earthy aroma with some malts and pleasant hoppyness. Taste is slightly hoppy, citrus notes, metallic, some caramel. A little too lager like for me. Dry bitter finish.

On tap at the John Snow, Soho, 4th Feb 2008. Clear amber appearance with slight hoppy aroma. Tasty enough malt & hops, but not much to it. Light and quaffable palate with a decent bitter finish.

Draught at the Earl of Lonsdale, London - came dark copper with a thick off-white head. Probably a nitro pour. Citrusy hoppy aroma. Juicy and floral. Flavour is very fresh, citrusy, light malt, with a mild bitterness in the finish. Ultimately, very, very drinkable bitter. The hopping reminded me of American beers somewhat (though not nearly as heavy). Delicate and soft pint. Quite good.

Keg at the Horse and Groom, Great Portland Street. Amber with a thick nitro-style head; smooth malty flavour with some citrus; gentle bitter finish. Much btter than the average keg bitter.

Served on nitro. An orange beer with a thick white head. The aroma is very lightly fruity and malty - due to the nitrogen head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a dry bitter end. The mouthfeel is very smooth. I’m not a fan of nitro.

Gethinbeer (2210) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - FEB 7, 2007
Pint in the Waterguard, Cardiff. Fresh aroma of scents. Clear light copper colour, maybe more on the golden side with a thin white head. fruity taste with floral notes. Crisp tangy bitter. Just felt fresh and great to drink.

Doppelganger (1388) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - JAN 8, 2007
Three Goat’s Heads, Oxford. Tap, maybe nitro by the look and feel of it. Copper with a dense layer of fine white head. Leafy hops, a bit of honeysuckle, faintly citrus. A little farmy. Hop flavor runs on the farmy side as well. Very mild bitterness, a touch of bread. Clean, sort of abrupt finish. Light body, but not too thin. Pleasant, but not particularly noteworthy.

aroma was def lacking, can’t really say I picked up on anythign in particular. tawny colored bitter with a white probablly nitro head. Was surprised by the flavor with the lack of aroma. actually a nice pleasently fruity taste. nothing to brag about but it was worth £1.44. medium palate. would drink again
