3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pint poured at Champion Bar - just off Oxford Street in London. Poured white but settled to a very clear amber with a creamy head. Citrus in the aroma, but plums in the flavour, with a nice bitterness in the mouth.

Ah now we’re talking (not!). A useless pint in every regard. Tin. Wet paper. Lifeless. Kills the monkey. Kills the spark. Fizz it up the khyber and see how the boys like it. Bless ’em.

Keg, at the Princess Loiuse, Holborn, London.
Amber and nice enough to look at (for a keg beer) nothing out of the ordinary. If you pissed enough at the end of the night you wouldn’t mind drinking this stuff.

Having never been a fan of bitter, this really suprised me. smooth bittery taste with hints of apple and also oddly tinned peaches in syrup <--- think maybe im on my own on this one. Aftertatse is much the same.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Slightly musty nose, gold color, creamy nitro head. Creamy malt taste with a low bitter. Smooth texture with a medium body. Quick profile. Could use more hops - lots more. All in all a quality beer.

Keg @ the Princess Louise, Holborn. Stunning pub - shame about the beer. Foamy yet hard. Some faint tin and apple. Unpleasant.

Finally, the last of Sam Smiths fizz offerings at the culmination of the RB London Christmas pub crawl and Joeh has successfully prevailed on us to try every thing on offer. This one is a keg bitter. One look and sniff immediately transports me back to the bad days of the 70s when beer such as this was taking over all draught ale sales. Metallic, ashy and cardboardy. Although overall, it was drinkable and not that offensive. But I won’t be drinking it again.
