| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Large bottle. Pours a fantastically deep brown, verging on black with a light tan head. It is very dark yet still somewhat clear. The aromas are sweet, there are lots of malt with some chocolate and some roasted notes. The flavor is overall on the sweet side, with lots of dark chocolate and a little bit of coffee. The only criticism of this brew might be that it is a little thin, but the flavors are very smooth and very strong and overall I think it is a great beer. l1br4r14n (275), Washington, Washington DC, USA
