Nope. Too much alcohol flavor. I can think of many porters I’d rather have than this. Low alcohol too.

A bit too much of an alcohol flavor. A nice nutty aroma with a medium head. Very nice aftertaste, but the alcohol is too apparent.

Hell of a beer. A very complex beer, Taddy exhibits a number of sensational tastes, including that of wine in the aftertaste. Definitely a must-try.

A great looking porter with a good head. Porter’s, as a whole, have too much of an overpowering roasted flavor for me, and this one’s not too much different. It tastes almost cofeeish... only with some hops. Something I could probably aquire if I wanted to.

Rich dark color, nice aroma, could be a little stronger though. Smooth roasted coffee taste complemented well by a decent amount of hoppieness. A very good, but not quite great beer.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2003 Not as nice of an aroma as several others I've tried lately (Anchor Porter, Fullers). Not a bad aroma at all, just not as strong. Pours jet black with a quickly diminishing fizzy brown head. Not as sweet as others with strong hints of roasted grains. Drier on the finish, but virtually no hop aftertaste. Very smooth and drinkable. Medium body, but still a little light on the palate. Overall an excellent porter, but if you try you must also compare against Anchor Porter. Another great beer from my #1 brewer, but only their 3rd best behind Imperial Stout and Oatmeal Stout.

One of my all-time favorites. The overall flavor is rich with a very pleasant and distinct aftertaste. Perhaps this is common in Porters, however this is certainly one of the best beers out there.

Very nice!! Beautiful, long-lasting head. Caramel, sweet taste that really rings up on the sides of the tongue, somewhat reminiscient of Ayinger Celebrator. Assertive hoppiness.

A dissapointing brew from the brewing gods. A very light taste, light going down. I want a porter with character. The oatmeal stout is a far better brew
