glennmastrange (810), hobe sound, Florida, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of dark bread, toasted, dark chocolate and strong coffee, light notes of resin and earth for the hops and yeast, with brown sugar, vanilla and cola in the background. Head is frothy, off-white to light brown with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is dark brown with a red tint. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then the long finish is lightly acidic, moderately bitter and a touch sour. Palate is just about perfect, being medium bodied, oily in texture and has a soft carbonation. It finishes lightly dry. A great after dinner drink with an awesome mouthfeel. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Oct 7, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark brown/almost black with a two finger tan head.
