Samuel Smiths Taddy Porter

Pours dark brown/black with light tan head. Aromas of roasted malts and some sweetness. Flavors of burnt malts, coffee, chocolate. Creamy mouthfeel, minimal carbonation, medium/full body and a slightly bitter finish. A well done porter. I would have this again.

Had this one bottled in St. Charles, Illinois; thanks Jim! Opaque, dark brown pour with a thick and foamy dark tan head, nice coffee and nutty nose; bitter chocolate and nuts continue into the flavor. Finish is dry and alcoholic. Very good.

0,55 l bottle, small tasting with my neighbour Kjetil and his friend Trygve. Bougth in Cardiff by Kjetil. Color is very dark brown, nice tan head. Aroma is coffee and roasted malt, with hints of smoke. Flavor is the same, with salt and a dry finish.

Pours deep brown/red with a small off-white head. Aroma is of molasses, caramel, and sweet fruits. Flavor is similar; sweet and with a hint of chocolate and cocoa. A bit thinner than I had hoped, but overall very nice.

Pours dark with a small foamy head, sort of a sweet smell. Tastes better than it smells with tastes of biscuit and toffee and hints of a smokey flavor. Light on the palate, thought a bit watery for my tastes as far as a porter goes. Not a bad beer.

Brown with a nice thick coffee head. Aroma is a bit weak, some licorice, little coffee, little vinous/acetic. Thin body, flavours are very subtle, dry end. Nothing noticeable.

Pours nearly black with a one-finger tan head. The aroma is light, slightly sweet malt in the nose. The flavor is complex, a wonderfully creamy roastiness with just a bit of sourness in the finish. The finish lasts in complex layers. Nice, nice beer.
