Opaque, deep black color with some ruby hues and a nice, medium, creamy, brown tan head. Nice, nutty coffeish, chocolate flavor with an acidic twist and a bitter chocolate ending. Some cocoa and tobacco notes. Mouthfeel is medium to light, comforting and really drinkable. Moreish with a pleasant aftertaste. Raisins, fruit, cake aroma. Not up to pa with the rest of the beer. Excellent, enjoyable, solid and drinkable porter. zootfinster (179), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Pours dark brown, with a thick, thick khaki head. The aroma is a nice blend of malt and hops, with coffee and vanilla as well. Tart, and a bit bitter. Sweet and light bodied as well. Finishes clean. Hard to pick anything specific out in the aroma, but that may be because I served it too cold. As it warmed hints of chocolate came out in the nose. The tast matches with chocolate, some roasted malts, and nuts. Mouthfeel is quite good. I enjoyed it much more as it warmed up a bit and more flavors started coming out. Aroma of alcohol, espresso, cherry, dark chocolate, and tobacco. Miniscule bubbles. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, hazelnuts, slight vanilla, caramel. Warm. Thick. A good porter for those chilly evenings. ChristianScheffel (4481), Odense, Denmark
