Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and malt. Taste is basically the same with a bit of bitterness in the end.

Poured from a 550ml bottle this brew is very dark brown, almost black. Thin, off white head. Nose is mostly fig, raisin, and roasted barley, some chocolate malt and smoke as well. Medium bodied with a slightly oily and bitter finish. Not as good as I had hoped for.

Dark with reddish tints, head is light brown. Roasted fruity aroma. Smooth taste not too roasted or to much chocolate, smooth taste.

Poured from a 550ml bottle into a pint glass, black as night with a medium tan head. The aroma was complex with notes of vanilla, coffee, roasted malts and hickory smoke. The taste was not as impressive as I had hoped. It was dominated by coffee and baking chocolate with a thin, watery mouthfeel. The finish was smooth and smokey. I was hoping for a bit more sweetness here, but that’s just me.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a creamy brown head. Aroma is lightly sweet (dark fruit malts) and nutty. Roast malts and coffee. A bit of dry sourness in the finish. There is nat a specific flavor that dominates, and makes me say "Wow, that’s why I like this". It’s just an all around good beer.

It had been a while since I’d had one (or two or so) of these. Still hard to believe it comes in a clear bottle, but it does and the color is the real deal. Beautiful deep brown opaque color with a slim, but dense tan head. Nice yeasty, malty aroma. Although I don’t associate tangy with being a good thing for beer, there is a pleasant tang to the follow of the roasted flavors. Almost like there’s a hint of cherries in this. Sweet, full bodied, but very drinkable. Love this beer.

Bottle. Smoky malt and cocoa aroma. Dark brown with small head. Slightly smoky cocoa malt flavor with a light hops finish. Probably the best widely available porters.

A nice smokey brew. Has a distinct taste of roasted hops. Amora is smokey and sweet. Appearance is dark brown with a thick yet quick to disapate head. Mouthfeel is smooth with little aftertaste. Flavor is strong and smokey. A nice brew.
