TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA Feb 28, 2007 Thin bodied porter with notes of chocolate, and red wine, with a finish that reminds me of sake. Easy to drink but deliciously complex. A single glass just isn’t enough. beermouth (434), Langeskov, Denmark Feb 27, 2007 Intens brown, very close to black with a brownish head. Notes of coffee, chocolate and some kind of cookiedough. Very smooth and mild actually. keith0718 (157), Olathe, Kansas, USA Feb 25, 2007 Updated: Mar 27, 2008Pretty good porter malt character-hints of raisins, molasses. Nice balance of malt and hops. A nice sessionporter. Only 5 % and thinbodied in the good way, because porters often fills too much. Notes of coffeechocs and licorice. faroeviking (6016), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Feb 25, 2007 Bottle. Black clear colour with a great off-white long lasting head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, some bitterness, liquorice, coffee and plenty of chocolate, which all are truly in the flavour though more profound and with a bitter-sweet end. Long fresh bit bitter coffee and chocolate aftertaste. Great brew indeed. wilderthanyou (409), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Feb 24, 2007 Dark, creamy sticky head, thin but good retention. Aroma had strong notes of caramel and coffee. Flavors of caramel, bitter chocolate and coffee. Fizzy mouth feel, just the right level of carbonation. Good beer, would certainly buy it again if it were available. RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Feb 24, 2007 Pleasant, easy drinking dry porter. Dark roasted flavors, yet it is very light. Has that tiny hint of green apple peel aroma and flavor common to several Sam Smith brews. ford9719 (369), Vilseck, Germany Feb 23, 2007 Bottle. Poured a very dark black with a very little tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt. Taste is dry with a very hint of chocolate. Has a very malty finish nice beer.
