mhoster56 (34), Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 22, 2007 A powerful porter considering the light alcohol content. Dark roasted coffee and malt is the highlight of this beverage. Taddy Porter is sufficently thick enough to be considered a stout. The dryness of the beer is quite appealing. Still, not as complex nor as captivating as Fuller’s London Porter. AvantAle (50), Florida, USA Feb 20, 2007 Bottle. Intense black brown color. Thin, splotchy head that films and sticks to the glass. Smells of warm brandy and smoke that makes you feel cozy. The flavor is not as strong as you might expect. Has notes of chocolate, coffee and malts. A little thin and a little dry. Overall, not bad at all. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Feb 19, 2007 Aroma of roasted malt, plus bits of chocolate and coffee. Dark brown color with a quickly dissipated tan head. Medium, creamy mouthfeel. Starts with medium roasted malt, backed by chocolate. A bit of hop in the finish. It’s a dry finish. Maybe a sourish note behind it all. dunkpigen (328), Kolding, Denmark Feb 17, 2007 Almost pitchblack, it has some red hue on the edges and has a small creamy head. Chocolate and coffee aroma. Flavour of coffee and chocolate with a hint of smokeyness. (Bottle) thewolf (5634), Kolding, Denmark Feb 17, 2007 Bottle. Pours almost pitch-black - some red tones at the sides. Fine creamy off white head. Aroma has some roasted, smokey and coffee maltyness. Flavour has coffee, chocolate, some smokyness and a general low carbonation. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 15, 2007 Not bad. This porter poured a dark brown with a small thin off white head that laced the whole glass. The aroma was of coffee and and malts. The flavor is smokey coffee with some hops and roasted malt. Thin mouthfeel with just the right carbonation. I was expecting a little more but not bad at all. JasonBMoore (22), Denver, Colorado, USA Feb 13, 2007 Pours dark walnut with a cappucino head that all but dissappears, leaving a slight, wavy ring. Aroma is intense malts- roasted, smoky grains, molasses, and dry wood. Flavor is smoky and bitter with bread and nut notes. Body is creamy then dry and watery. Finish is metallic and drying with a lingering bread taste that becomes chalky and acidic. Not bad but not great neither. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Feb 13, 2007 355 ml bottle. Sweet notes light up the nose. Also malted barley and oats add some grain to aroma. Dark body with mahagany red hue and good tan head that disipates rather quickly. Mediun bodied brew that has a light roast, wet grain and boatload uf sweet flavor. Cabinated beer belch and some what dry on palate.
