| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 18, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a thick light tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, some vegetal notes, and bready malt. Flavor is predominantly bready malt and some roasted notes, but this really isn’t like your typical porter. Weak palate. Meh, I’m not digging this.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 16, 2009 Black pour with a tan head. Aroma of caramel which also dominates the flavor. Slight roasted malts and coffee finish. Very drinkable and not too overwhelming. DerWeg (756), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2009 Oily smoky and chocalate-y with a late tingle of hop bitterness. Big foamy pour that’s clingy - tan cap over dark brown with beige-gold highlights. Murky! Not a very heavy, thick beer, one that slides back in nice gulps. Great toffee character, highly session-able. As I drink it the roast and hops come forward a little, perhaps a little coffee, it is as it should be! Nail (11), Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 14, 2009 This is one of my favorite porters, this is a rich creamy smooth porter, a true classic. The Famous Taddy Porter is a style defining beer. kosko20 (302), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 14, 2009 Pitch black pour with minimal dark tan head with no lacing. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, hazelnut and coffee in the background as well. Flavor is nicely balanced. Some sweet but more bitter. Palate is creamy, rich and has good carbonation but is a little thin. Overall a solid brew. Smooth and improves greatly as it warms. arondee (176), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2009 Poured a very dark Black/Brown with a two finger brown head, good lacing, and a small amount of carbonation. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee. Taste is initially slightly bitter, there’s a metallic taste that I’m not fond of. Lots of coffee bitter dark chocolate, and malt dominate. Not my favorite style but good for what it is. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 13, 2009 Pours a nice dark black with red hues. Head is a nice one finger sized and mocha coloured. Aroma is of ash, coffee, chocolate, and soft fruit. Tastes very nice, the palate is dominated by chocolate and ash. Coffee is in there as well as soft fruit sweetness. Perfect mouth feel for the style. Really nice porter!
