arondee (176), Tucson, Arizona, USA May 13, 2009 Poured a very dark Black/Brown with a two finger brown head, good lacing, and a small amount of carbonation. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee. Taste is initially slightly bitter, there’s a metallic taste that I’m not fond of. Lots of coffee bitter dark chocolate, and malt dominate. Not my favorite style but good for what it is. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada May 13, 2009 Pours a nice dark black with red hues. Head is a nice one finger sized and mocha coloured. Aroma is of ash, coffee, chocolate, and soft fruit. Tastes very nice, the palate is dominated by chocolate and ash. Coffee is in there as well as soft fruit sweetness. Perfect mouth feel for the style. Really nice porter! rcasta (472), El Salvador May 11, 2009 just my style, all the way from Portland, ME. esta cerveza es una oscura mas seca que las tipicas inglesas, talvez si tanta malta, pero hoppy EHSRanders (1121), Randers C, Denmark May 9, 2009 Bottle. Black colour with large creamy light brown mostly lasting head. Aroma is roasted malt. Sweet flavor. Oily palate. pivnizub (4953), Bochum, Porúří, Germany May 4, 2009 Bottle: Pours almost black with hardly detectable ruby spots, firm creamy persistent beige head; solid - not too dry - roasted malt in the nose, supported by some traces of black fruits; smmoth MF, solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; waves of fruitiness in the bitter-sweet roast-malty and dark-malty finish. Excellent Porter.......... bw1982 (70), , Florida, USA Apr 30, 2009 Large bottle. Pours a fantastically deep brown, verging on black with a light tan head. It is very dark yet still somewhat clear. The aromas are sweet, there are lots of malt with some chocolate and some roasted notes. The flavor is overall on the sweet side, with lots of dark chocolate and a little bit of coffee. The only criticism of this brew might be that it is a little thin, but the flavors are very smooth and very strong and overall I think it is a great beer. l1br4r14n (274), Washington, Washington DC, USA Apr 29, 2009 Aroma of sweet malt, chocolate and a littlle roast barley. Pours dark brown, almost black with a two finger sandy-brown head. Flavor is chocolate, light coffee, roast barley and a hint of cocoa bitterness at the end. Slight aftertaste of warm milk chocolate. Very nice. mcjay (302), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA Apr 28, 2009 Deep amber color with a nice tan head. Aroma of caramel and coffee.
