Creamy coffee and chocolate. Very dark brown with red hues. Medium palate. Weak coffee and plenty of roasted malt.

(550 ml bottle) Thick khaki head atop very dark rubyish brown body. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, malty sweetness. Tastes of coffee and semi-sweet chocolate, also a fruity/syrupy quality. Not much bitterness to speak of. Smooth but a slight bit on the watery side. A fine beer.

This is a fantastic porter...amazingly complex. At first it seemed a bit thin to my liking...but got way better as I went along (as it warmed, I guess). This is one of the beers that even to my untrained tastebuds, I can detect a change in taste as I drink. The roasted malt and chocolate flavor hits you right away...then there is a distinct fruitiness that the reviews seem to differ on what it is (I swear it tasted like apple to me), but it was good...and then the coffee taste at the end. This was a darned good beer and worth seeking out. Plus, "Taddy Porter" is just a cool name.

Poured black with ruby highlites and a fizzy brown head. Sweet aroma of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is very dark and roasty with strong coffee notes and some bittersweet chocolate, touch of acidity which clashes a bit but doesn’t overwhelm enough to ruin the beer. Average body.

550 ml clear bottle. Dark translucent ruby colour with a thick, mostly lasting creamy and frothy tan head. Roasty coffee and milk chocolate aroma. Light chocolate and coffee flavours overwhelmed by a metallic taste, then finishing with roasty bitterness. Picks up some acidity and smokiness as it warms. Medium bodied, rich and creamy mouthfeel. Too bad about that metallic intrusion.

Black pour with red highlights and a creamy tan head that lasts. Sweet roasted malt and grain aroma. Nice and creamy on the palate. Nice sweet flavor with notes of chocolate, roasted coffee, dark fruit and malt. Very tasty!

Very dark not quite opaque. Medium light oak colored head. Aroma is first of wine, some roasting comes out with warming. Taste is also winelike, not much roasted malt, coffee, or chocolate. Sour, bad bottle? Whatever it is I did not care for this.
