A: Pretty light on the aroma... a bit of malt. A: Looks great. Pours a little thin but the head is a great cream color. Otherwise dark black. T: Taste is alright. Roasty, malty. Nothing special but pretty solid. A bit of acidity in the finish. Very earthy as well. Hint of vanilla... agressive bitterness on the finish. P: Sits pretty agressive. Medium/light body. Overall a nice porter but not my favorite. There are some good notes of roastiness and malt is well balanced but overall the beer is a little light... The finish has a bit too much bitterness and a touch of acidity. I’m not really impressed by this beer and there are other porters I would rather reach for.

bottle kindly shared by Rune. Thanks! Stylish and classic bottle. Pours a black-brown with an average head. Dark chocolate, roasted malt and cake aroma. A bit thin for a porter, but the taste is good; coffe, liqurice, tobacco, malty and sweet notes, hints of roasted chestnuts. (14.04.10 @Rating Session IX)

From pint bottle, it pours a deep brown with some lighter red-brown highlights at the edges and a thin but persistent cappuccino coloured head. Aromas of dark fruit, coffee, roasted malt, a little chocolate and a touch of cherry. Taste is dominated by some big fruit flavours of raisins, currants, orange peel before some milk coffee and chocolate kick in. The high point is a smooth, creamy mouth feel that’s just awesome. Really nice English porter.

Pours black with a nice brown foam. Leaves nice lacing as I drink. Good aroma full of roasted malts and some oats. Malty taste with a slight bitterness at the end. Nice full mouthfeel. Finishes clean. Very nice representation of a porter!

Mutiple bottles in college. Tangy is a great way to describe this beer or any beer really, I totally forgot about that word. Tang. I was always more of a kool aid guy but I always enjoyed saying tang. And pooty tang is a classic film. know dat.

Bottle. Almost black beer with large beige head. Aroma of coffee. Taste is roasted malts, some coffee, chocolate and hops. A little dry. Too carbonated for my liking though. A good porter.

Very good porter, super dark and opaque, no room for light, hints of chocolate/coffee, overall very good.
