Nice appereance with a deep brown colour and a brown, persistent foam. Coffee aroma and a roasty taste with light traces of chocolate. The aftertaste is bitter and reminded me coffee. Very good!

Poured very dark, plum, raisin, chocolate cake aroma, nice cocoay first taste, soft, coffeish backtaste, a little to energized as all S. Smith brews seem to beno heavy alcohol taste common in many porters, an outstanding brew

Poured a deep dark ruby with a small head. No oxidation present, which is always a plus with a Sam Smith. Roasty, perfect carbonation, and a great creamy texture. Love it.

Deep blackish burgundy in color, with a great thick head. Great smell of caramel, toffee, and nuts. Tastes very malty, with hints of molasses, soy sauce, caramel, chocolate, and port. Finishes very smooth, with a nice hoppy malty tang at the end.

Bottle: The aroma has lots of chocolate as well as fruity vinuous notes with moderate plum and faint roasted malt. It pours a dark reddish-brown with some faint transparency and a large creamy beige head with very good retention and sporadic lacing The flavor has moderate chocolate right from the beginning. Fruity vinuous notes linger in the background with light plum. It finishes with moderate roasted malt and nuttiness with just the slightest hint of bitter coffee. Light-medium bodied with very soft carbonation.

Bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a thick dark head. Nice roasted aroma. Sweet chocolatey roasted flavor. Nice body, drinkable all night. A prime example of why porter is the beer that made the brewing industry.
